FR Current Events Project: Keeping Tabs on the Media's Attacks on Bush and the Republican Party
All Media Sources

I have honestly lost count of all the lies and distortions being thrown about in the press these last few weeks concerning Bush and his agenda, and the things going on in and around this country, especially concerning the government, the DOJ, and the Congress.
I would like to use this thread -- and you other Freepers -- to compile a COMPLETE THREAD of all the various errors we find in and among the articles we read on here and the news shows that we see daily on TV.
My thoughts are that if we get them all on one thread, maybe we can figure out what the heck is going on in this country and, more importantly in my opinion, WHO is doing it.
Please include the URL for the article or news report you will add to the list; if it is not from a thread on FR, please copy and paste the article, along with date, time, and source to this thread in order to preserve the information.
As always, be careful which newspapers/magazines you post full articles from.
I believe we are in a full frontal fight for the life of this country, the Supreme Court, and the things we believe in. We need to prepare ourselves to refute all the distortions being continually spewed over the airwaves and in the papers of this country.
Now, get to work!

Maybe what we can do is capture all the sources of bad information with facts and then put them together in a separate thread the next day. And then they would be on a daily archive thread with a catchy title while we would keep these threads going with new daily information and comments. That way all Freepers could get the information up front without having to go through this thread looking!
Then we would have a concise thread each day debunking the media while having this one for comments, etc. to do for the next day's thread.

I would never have guessed it!
I hope this thread does reach into the thousands every day!

Like I said, it's a great start! Every single thing we can do is a help...this is a great thread. We can channel our anger into something "great than ourselves"...I love quoting the President! LOL

You have great thoughts here...here's another one for you. How about clinton, hillary and carter traveling the world to undermine our President. I would guess that the clintons are sparking a lot of this worldwide criticism of President Bush.

What in the world would Chelsea know about raising children! Unbelievable.............
Chelsea would know a lot about how not to raise a child. Imagine her childhood.

You are so right! One thing that drives me buggy is the way they immediately try to call every single thing Bush says as "political". Instead of trying to get the meaning of his words, they talk about how it affects him politically and whether he had to say this or that to cover himself. They are morons. Another thing I noticed today - remember how they always label GOP ads as nasty and mean-spirited? They didn't say that today about the carville-backed attack ads against President Bush today - or about the horrible NAACP ad in 2000.

We need to send the debunked articles to the FOX news channel

Thanks for the ping. This is a great idea. Kayak, I'm glad you posted the CNN graphic. That graphic is so damning without saying one word. CNN becomes more unfair and unbalanced by the day.

Klayman's outrage has spread way beyond the Clintons. Judicial Watch now has branch offices in Dallas, Houston, Miami, and San Marino, California, and is delving into state and local matters. Klayman even has global ambitions: He hopes to open a European office in the future. (Closer to home, Judicial Watch is currently representing Paul Weyrich in a defamation suit against The New Republic.)
I'm watching my country in full meltdown and watching people again fall for another Trojan Horse by the name of Henry Ross Perot. Perot, suddenly and magically appearing out of nowhere with a new petition calling for Clinton to resign. Back in 1992, there were 35 phone calls made between Clinton and Perot. This has been proven to be a fact by telephone records produced by former Arkansas State troopers. Perot runs, then suddenly drops out after a meeting with Hank Kissinger and David Rockefeller. Do you think Henry and Billy were each wishing the other well during those 35 phone calls in the heat of a presidential race? Ever hear of a quid pro quo? Try Perot and Hilliary and national health care and billions for Henry. Conjecture? Sure. Common sense, my cup floweth over.
Perot was one of Hillary Clinton's socialist health care guru's in '93 that was shot down. Perot who has made millions off government programs and NAFTA. Perot the detractor and now, millions of duped Americans will spend all kinds of time and money on this silly petition effort being pushed by him. Will the people never learn when they're being taken for a ride? Didn't someone once say, "There's a sucker born every minute?"

I just sent you an email. Might be something we can do regarding Klayman. Check it out and let me know.

Good idea, thanks for the flag.

Didn't Hillary short pharmaceuticals after bashing them for a month or so? Then didn't she make some sort of comment about how she can't be responsible for every undercapitalized business?
The Dems are always for form over substance. They are fussing about the paperwork as much as the sale. The important thing is not what Bush did...(act as any smart investor would and sell in a declining market). The important thing is what he DID NOT DO. He did not buy the stock back at $1.00 per share and ride it up to $8.

That's for sure -- Fox needs them!
