That is so wonderful, Julie! You know, there aren't a lot of us around with long happy marriages. I have been blessed with the best husband one could hope to find for 35 years. When my son was in high school, not one of his friends had parents who were still together.
Hi, Dave! You know, one of the nice things about doing just one holiday thread to bump all weekend is that we can just drop in and out all weekend ....just laid-back, like family home for a visit - sitting on the porch, sipping lemonade, eating homemade cookies.....that is, if Mama Bear and Louie will stay away from them long enough for the rest of us to sample them. |
LOL. Well, not to worry.
After I finish up these cookies I am going to slurp down a couple of cans of SlimFast, that should take care of it. :-)
LOL!
Hey, fuzzy,....Slim Fast only 'adds' calories after scarfin' down a dozen cookies. : )
But Mama_Bear ran away with the other one. : )
And gave me a black eye. : (
If you can't defend a cookie from a Teddy Bear....what good are you in my army? Sheeh!!!
Really? Well, that might explain why my Slim Fast diet isn't workin' too well. LOL!
Keep him out of your bunker.
Listen, missy, Louie is not the problem. Mama_Bear IS.
Time for Ms. daisy to be popping some into the oven, don't you think? : )
What can I say except that you are wonderful.
I certainly agree with that - it's more like playing though because it's so fun! Speaking of working with.......this seems like a good time to get everybody's attention!
We would love your input on spotlighting new FReepers. But you must help us out, too! Give us some information to profile them, and a photo or two if possible. You can contact either Mama_Bear, daisyscarlett, or me by FReepmail with your suggestions, nominations, ideas. Thanks! Hope to hear from some of you soon!
I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the day ends.
I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important.
My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or ...
I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or...
I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or...
I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or...
I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or...
I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or...
I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or...
I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or...
I can eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or...
I can feel honored because Life has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
Have a GREAT DAY ... unless you have other plans.
You're the best!
If you can't defend a cookie from a Teddy Bear....what good are you in my army? Sheeh!!!
Geez, General, you want me to hit a lady bear? : (
I might pop that mean lookin' one, though. LOL!!
And stop sending her after me. Makes me nervous to look at her. : (
That last post is an excellent example.
We can MAKE each day a good day....by choosing how we react to each day's "gifts" (and burdens).
That's something to remember every single day.
Thanks for the reminder.
Awwwww ...... no, it is you who is wonderful. :-)
(Guess we better cool it or Billie is going to tell us to go get a room. LOL!)
Hey, I thought you were working? SMOOOOOCH! :-)
