The only ones disappointed I see are all on FR. Most of the people I meet on the outside in the real world love Bush.
It was totally ridiculous what Rush did yesterday, as well as Drudge and Sean Hannity. I'm disappointed in those three, especially Sean... he usually does his research.

Are you a Jehovah Witness? Just asking because they seem to make a habit of annoying people and then thanking you when you get annoyed with them!
To: Badray
If we don't take that first step, then we will see another 35 million babies slaughtered in their mother's wombs while some sit around and complain that GW doesn't walk on water 24/7 and meet their core something the others.
Lets take that first step, and let GW then use the bully pulpit against abortions.

What you describe really can hurt can't it!

My next vehicle will be a SUV. You just need one of those bad boys to get through the snow up here.

While Rush et al are having well-deserved egg on their faces today, has anyone got the name of the Clymer at the NYT who wrote the mis"analysis" of the report? I'd like to see him/her exposed as well.
To: marajade
I am with you when Rush gives aid and comfort to the enemy he is out as far as I am concerned. He is no better than Krystol, Safire and the other McCainiacs.
To: PhiKapMom
Well, I'm just saying that just like the virulently anti-Bush crowd represents a unity problem, so does the "if you so much as fail to cheer loud enough" crowd by making people feel that if they have any doubts about the administration's policy, they don't belong to the "movement."
Hey, even if Rush was wrong (and I'm not convinced that he was entirely wrong), he's not the anti-Christ, you know? He's still a guy that has done a lot of good over the years, and is partially responsible for Republican control of the House.
To: oldvike
No, what's over the line is Dubya signing crappy legislation after crappy legislation. But you don't really care about that, now do you?No, not really. You see, I have my head in the sand with the rest of the Bush bots.
To: PhiKapMom
Snapple and Select Mattress are two that come to mind....oh, and Jointritis (sp?)
To: B Knotts
Well I don't agree with everything that Pres Bush does (Education comes to mind) but he sure has my support. I don't expect any President to be 100% of what I want -- that is not going to happen because I am very conservative on some issues and not so conservative on others. If I had my way, the UN would be out of NY yesterday!
I just think that Rush is not the Rush of old where I did listen to him all the time -- a lot of people I talk to say the same thing and his attack yesterday and putting up the picture of Pres Bush turning into Gore is not going over with a lot of people I have talked to around the Country. This site is not a true sampling of the "conservative" movement or at least I hope not!
To: B Knotts
Hey, even if Rush was wrong (and I'm not convinced that he was entirely wrong), he's not the anti-Christ, you know? Uh, limbaugh whored around with the NYT and not one person on this thread has dismissed that claim.

Thanks! Snapple is going to have to do without this Family and I am writing to tell them why!

I'm not saying that we shouldn't take that 1st step, it's just that too many people think the problem is solved once we do. My advice would be to cross your fingers while waiting for W to use the bully pulpit though. He has been reluctant to use is so far and holding your breath could be hazardous to your health. I'm disappointed that he hasn't used the bully pulpit much or the veto at all.

Air pollution exacerbates asthma in children. Too often that asthma is fatal. I'm talking about real people, real deaths. You said that environmental laws kill people. Tell me how. I'd love to know.
To: lone star annie
And you know what the kicker is? Rush alone is what doomed McCain in the primaries. Go figure.
To: PhiKapMom; howlin, miss marple, annie get your gun, mjy1288
Since I don't listen to him, buy his newsletter nor subscribe to his web site, I haven't the foggiest who his sponsors are.
Sounds like an assignment for the Guild.
The above is from Rush's website. Looks like he hired some of the Clintoon Outhouse boys to do this. Or is CarVille in charge of his site?
To: Howlin
Mary makes my teeth itch too. I'm glad I'm not alone. Any woman that could spend intimate time with Carville has to be deficient. But of course, they never indulge in pillow talk.

I have to agree with B Knotts here. I'm not going to dump an ally overboard, particularly when he did, to a certain extent, apologize. We need all the support we can get. Just as I'm willing to get down and dirty, I'm also willing to work with those who agree with me more often than not, even if I do not like their style, unless they absolutely drive me off.
Rush is in the latter category. We need to call folks on things, and when someone admits they were off, as Rush pretty much did today, then we have to let bygones be bygones. Maybe I'm too forgiving of Rush, but he's done a ton for us in the past, and I'm not willing to write all of that off just yet. But that's just me.
