Well, I'm just saying that just like the virulently anti-Bush crowd represents a unity problem, so does the "if you so much as fail to cheer loud enough" crowd by making people feel that if they have any doubts about the administration's policy, they don't belong to the "movement."

Hey, even if Rush was wrong (and I'm not convinced that he was entirely wrong), he's not the anti-Christ, you know? He's still a guy that has done a lot of good over the years, and is partially responsible for Republican control of the House.

Well I don't agree with everything that Pres Bush does (Education comes to mind) but he sure has my support. I don't expect any President to be 100% of what I want -- that is not going to happen because I am very conservative on some issues and not so conservative on others. If I had my way, the UN would be out of NY yesterday!

I just think that Rush is not the Rush of old where I did listen to him all the time -- a lot of people I talk to say the same thing and his attack yesterday and putting up the picture of Pres Bush turning into Gore is not going over with a lot of people I have talked to around the Country. This site is not a true sampling of the "conservative" movement or at least I hope not!

Uh, limbaugh whored around with the NYT and not one person on this thread has dismissed that claim.

I have to agree with B Knotts here. I'm not going to dump an ally overboard, particularly when he did, to a certain extent, apologize. We need all the support we can get. Just as I'm willing to get down and dirty, I'm also willing to work with those who agree with me more often than not, even if I do not like their style, unless they absolutely drive me off.

Rush is in the latter category. We need to call folks on things, and when someone admits they were off, as Rush pretty much did today, then we have to let bygones be bygones. Maybe I'm too forgiving of Rush, but he's done a ton for us in the past, and I'm not willing to write all of that off just yet. But that's just me.

A question if you may.... I don't listen to Rush and haven't for the last three or more years so I am curious. I only see what is posted here of his program and what his topics are...

Does Rush spend any time on debunking Daschle, Gephart, the lack of Senate action on Judicial Nominees, promoting the taking back of the Senate, or just Pro Republican stances? If so is it a small or large percentage of his radio time?

It seems Rush could help unite and promote the taking back of the Senate and maybe increase the majority in the House. Then with that position he could begin to bring heat to the President.
