"'I read the report put out by the bureaucracy,' Bush said dismissivly... "
More to come, I'm sure
Now I am mad. I have not been mad up until now. But now I am furious at Rush. What an irresponsible twit in this instance.
Yesterday, I got into a mini argument with basically a good guy who listened to Rush on this issue. Then, he went home and his sister, mother and two daughters were there for dinner.
He started to bash GW on this and both of his grown daughters ripped him a new one. His older sister chided him and his 86 year old mother just glared at him. His wife refused to talk to him after their family left. All of them were madder than wet hens at him and Rush.
Then, today while he was on the way to the local Farmers Market, he heard Rush back down. I saw him at the market, and he came over, shook my hand and said that Rush just apologized, and he was doing the same. Then he told me what his family had said and done to him last night.
I suggested that he take them out to dinner tonight for a crow eating apology dinner on him. He called his wife, and apologized to her and told her about the crow dinner. She is making arrangements for a lot of crow for him at a good restaurant tonight.
ROTFL, I can see it now, President Bush leans over and whispers to Karl Rove "What's Rush saying about all this, have we lost any of the Buchannan crowd or Ditto Heads?" :-)
No takers, I see. I'll answer:
I do not believe in global warming. From what I've read, there are three sets of temperature data: ground temperatures, lower atmospheric data and upper atmospheric data. The first two show warming - but the last does not. The only findings that would be consistent with global warming produced by greenhouse gases (as I understand it) would be an increase in temperature in all three sets of data.
Since the upper atmospheric data has not evidenced temperature increases, I believe the most likely explanation is warming of the ground/lower atmosphere due to an increase in man-made heat traps (or is sinks the right word?). I'm talking about buildings, roads, parking lots etc. absorbing heat and releasing it back into the atmosphere.
Ya think ..
Here is my thinking .. you don't vote then you have nothing to complain about
If one truly cared about this country and improving our rights then they do something about it .. like voting
As I said yesterday, Rush is a talk show host and without a juicy story he is out of a job. It was shameless for him to use the NYT's for anything. Not to mention a hit piece on the POTUS. If he want's to talk about principles, maybe he should start by looking in the mirror. As far as Drudge, he is a opportunistic whore, just like Larry Klayman
Come on and tell us how you really feel about these guys.
Apparently so... but then that makes the selection process easier for those that do participate... Heck if the candidates had to spend the money to get that other 50% it just may be cost prohibitive.... But on the other hand that 50% if they chose to could really influence the outcome of the process......
I think about 99% of total global greenhouse gas emissions are natural, mostly water vapor, only 1 percent or so are from man made, synthetic sources.
They had Bush accused, tried and convicted and already were discussing sentencing when I finally logged off FR yesterday.
This is a riot. I hope they feel ridiculous. LOL
LOL .. I can just imagine that
My brother called and tried the same kind of stuff 2 weeks ago .. I hung up on him 3 times .. the 4th time the hubby answer and told him I was NOT a happy camper .. after a few days I guess he realized he was wrong and called to apologize .. lol
Ahhhh you forgot the part where they wanted to start another Revolutionary War
Those who sat on their butts and allowed the Clintoons to be elected to appoint more abortionists at the federal judge levels will have to answer to GOD re the abortions that flowed during their time period.
If GW can appoint some sane judges instead of insane pro abortion judges, then Roe V. Wade has a chance to be overturned. Any person who does not participate in this opportunity to stop Roe V Wade, well, I won't go there. That will between them and God why they didn't participate when we had the opportunity.
Deport -- You made the point perfectly. CAP has been claiming the religious right is all going to stay home and now gets mad when I tell them to go ahead and stay home and that basically I don't want to hear their complaints about who gets elected and what they do if they don't vote. Guess they missed the article about the conservative base is 90%+ still with the President!
Now the point about how Bush is going to get elected if they stay home! They almost cost us the close election the last time with so many of them staying home, but this time we are going to have a broader base because people are seeing just what President Bush is all about and they like what they see. Maybe some members of the religious right represented by some folks on here should stop and think their voices are not being heard as much because so many of them did stay home in 2000! I guess if you are not a member of the religious right you have no say in who gets nominated and elected according to them and you cannot critize them for trashing this President when they didn't vote for him to begin with. You cannot lose a vote you didn't have. BTW CAP -- you have not been using the word "conservataive" but have been saying you and members of your Church are going to stay home! Which is it -- your Church and members of the religious right or "conservatives" -- there is a difference you know! 17% of Conservatives voted for Gore which is why I decided to call myself a flat out Republican -- then there is no doubt!
Deport -- As you can guess, I have had it with whiners and complainers not to mention people who trash Bush! I don't buy into the mantra -- vote 100% the way I want or I won't vote for you.
Actually Jorge, to be accurate, this disappointment in President Bush has been going on long before yesterday. And much of it is justified. Lets keep it accurate Jorge.
LOL, I would say that wanting to start a revolution might fall under the catagory "Knee Jerk Reaction"..... Do ya think :-)
And you are doing Daschle's work very well.
Sure, some will not support him no matter what, but there are many who just need a sign that he will support their conservative positions, at least on occasion.
Whether you like him or not, Rush is a major player in the conservative movement, and the President needs the support of conservatives of all stripes to be reelected. So, I'd think twice before I'd tar everyone who thinks Rush has a point, with the broad brush of "Bush hater."
If you feel believing in God is just that, then fine. Blessed am I when you insult me for his name. Thank you. You've just done me a great favor.
