I believe they were in Charleston for Spoleto sometime back. If it was them, they were well liked. The only I've seen them is on television, but I still felt like a small child watching them. Amazing!

I've seen several of the Cirque du Soleil shows in Northern Virginia over the years (Saltimbanco, Allegria, Quidam) and I agree that they are superb. In addition to the amazing athletics and stagecraft, they also write, arrange and perform all the music for the shows. Unless I'm mistaken, Mystere is only performed at its permanent location in Las Vegas, so for many of us this is our only opportunity to see it.

Also check out the Cirque du Soleil website.

Did you say you saw Quidam in Northern Virginia?

I did indeed.

He was sitting on a fencepost, wearing some sort of turtle outfit.

What's a "ninja" turtle. Now, I know want a real turtle is and I know what those delicious confections made with CHOCOLATE (hello, my name is Dixie. I'm a chocoholic), carmel and pecans. Pronounced "pea-can" unless you live in Texas, where I have it on good authority, that it's pronounced "puhh-can"! Silly Texans!

Well, a 'ninja' turtle was a cartoon that my son grew up with. 4 'ninja turtles- Leonardo, Michelangelo(my son used to call him Michael and Angelo), and I can't remember the other two names. They were crimefighting turtles.

Now I'm in Mn to watch him graduate high school. Wow, time flies!

I love chocolate turtles, also known as 'pixies' in some parts.

When my family moved to S. Cah-linah (from Texas, no less!), we considered it our duty to educate the locals by telling them that a "pee can" is what one kept under the bed when they didn't have indoor plumbing. (also known as a chamber pot or 'thunder mug').

Still sure you want 'pee cans' in yer chocolate?
