De Volkskrant means the "People's Paper." I have no idea of the etymology of "krant" meaning "newspaper." I can't think of any related words in English or German.
To: aristeides
Dunno for sure, but anything with Volks in it has gotta be leftwing.

Yes, De Volkskrant (Peoplespaper), also called the red paper, is the most left mainstream newspaper. Marcel van Dam, the number one demonizer (also one of the people who are reported to the police by two lawyers for his comments on Fortuyn) is columnist there.

I'll be waiting for your election reports too. Always a pleasure to read your posts, knighthawk.

My guess would be "Current". Like the "Hartford Current" or something. I liked the "rant" part. "The People's Rant". That'd be a good leftist paper.

"What is taking place is not just an invasion. It is the managed subjegation of sovereign peoples and their homelands. It is being facilitated by the elected leaders of the free world. " Yup, and GWB's administration are 'open border' folks.

Peter Langendam (links), nummer twee van de LPF-kandidatenlijst Joao Varela (midden)
en vice-voorzitter Dost (rechts).
If every picture tells a story, I read this one as Varela being pushed out of his no. 2 spot. Not surprising, since he's only 28. Here's a link to the related story.

BTW, I don't think this fellow pulls off the "At your service" salute as well as Fortuyn.
KN - I saw a video clip of Fortuyn doing his "At your service" salute. It was a snappy salute. And he spoke in English -- why? My read was he was perhaps imitating, from movies or television, the manners of a dutiful and efficient British officer. But I'm not Dutch. What do you think?

Yes, much to my consternation you are right.

You miss a key point: We are not deally with Turks in Turkey. We are dealing with the ex-patriots.
Generally speaking emmigrants leave a country because they are unhappy with it either economically or politically. Thus to assume that the Turks in Europe are as secular as those in Turkey is a mistake.

Thanks for the link. So Langendam has now become party chairman. What significance does that have for potential cabinet appointments?
To: Shermy
Hey, these guys have their own uniform.

I don't know. But it's a catchy slogan. Many people use it now here. Did the clip also include him dancing around the stage? And did it catch his emotions as his name was announced to become their leader when he was still sitting in the audience? He almost cried.
At your service, Pim Fortuyn!
Here fo a very good series of photos from his funeral

He already made an impact accusing a lot of people for the demonization. Wik Kok was angry and said Langendam 'crossed the border'. Wim Kok is a leftist hypocrite, he makes me barf. Under him my countrt was wrecked. So many people are glad he is gone now. The PvdA, his party, is polled to fall from 45 to 25 seats! Good riddance!

The two main impediments to organized opposition to the Immigration Invasion are the media monopoly (which gave us the Immigration Invasion) and religious nuts (whose missionary zeal cancels out any racial loyalty they may have felt).I would suggest that the single greatest impediment is the Big Lie, which the Left has promoted for two generations, that we are all basically the same. I have just posted the following on the internet, which suggests how we should answer this lie: The Big Truth.
