[history]
The National Youth and Student Peace Coalition is planning its April 20 march to oppose the Bush administration's war on terrorism and its effect on domestic and global issues. Protesters will rally at the Washington Monument grounds at 11 a.m. and expect speakers including Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III. A march is planned after that.

I assume you heard their announcement yesterday that they are changing (at lesat some of) the focus to the Middle East.
And did you know the IMF/World Bank crowd has now decided to come to town the same day? Of course, I agree with them about IMF/World Bank (which is why I would even rather have had Nader than Gore), but still, they're another bunch of anticapitalist lefties. Do we want to do anything here?

HOSTING GROUPS: Gee, I hope none of these groups are tax exempt.
Call the IRS lawyers to attend. Let's get these folks paying their fair share if they chose to get involved in politics. It's illegal.

Don't let these people have the streets of MY Capital City to themselves.I concur completely. There's a quote that I can't totally recall, something about ..."when good men stand idly by." These people are nothing but bullies. When you stand up to bullies they run away.

Thanks for the ping. My wife, and I wished we could be there with you all, but Arizona is just too far. However, next time we come to visit our daughter in DC, we will look forward to joining you for FREEPING. Say high to Kristinn, Angelwood, and to all the DC FREEPERS for us. Have fun on the 20th, and a good FREEPING.

"Wish I could be there" bump. Sounds like a great event. I'll be with you in spirit.
Best of luck calling up the reserves. Get the troops mobilized and show these imbeciles what several thousand well-informed American citizens can do! They won't know what hit 'em!
BTW, wear your NRA shirts and there won't be any trouble, I'll reckon...

Aye, Aye - see you there - just sent a second e-mail to approx 100 Stafford and Spotyslvania County, VA, Republicans asking for their support and they usually pass on the e-mail to many others. Looking forward to seeing you again - Dave

I have never felt safer than when I was on the streets for those events. Ditto for me - and this time we have a true "safe haven" in a permitted area on the grounds of the Washington Monument. The D.C. LEO's (with no disrespect to other cities) are probably the best at this type of action as they deal with it day in and day out. The list includes the Metro Police Dept, the Capitol Police, The National Park Service Police and the Uniformed Secret Service. As I said before - our location will be an island of sanity and true patriotism - at a time when our country needs us.
No one comes into our house and pushes us around and DC is America's house - we will be sending out a worldwide message that the malcontents and American bashing idlers will not subvert our war on terrorism as they did our our country's noble efforts during the Vietnam conflict. The stakes are even higher now - our families, homes and work places are now on the front lines. Stand up now before it is too late to make a stand.

Well said... The frontlines are now on your streets not in some far off third-world country. If not now, when?

Is it this one:
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

The usual suspects will be out in full force.

Thanks, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Actually the anarchists are leftists. They hate capitalism. The right wing counterparts are the most hard core libertarians, but they are pro-capitalists.
They aren't even "REAL" anarchists. They are through and through Marxists. They yap about Oil, capitalist pigs, and call everything fascists.
I don't like the Word Bank, WTO or globalists either. However, the enemy of my enemy is not always my friend. I've met a few of these guys. They are not my friend, and I will not EVER help their cause. If I go against the WTO and the like, I'd do it on my own terms.

BTW - I'll be covering the Lansing end of it. If anything goes on, I'll post an alert here.

Morning bump and thanks Dan...
