Prayers requested for friend whose parents were murdered

I received the most horrific email at 5am today that I hope I ever get. A close friend in a nearby city wrote the following:

Did you get my message? This is not a joke. Someone broke into my parents house on Wed night around 11 and killed them. My aunt found them at 4pm on Thurs. Call me.

Somebody actually murdered two of the lovliest people God ever put on this earth. The police are saying little except they originally thought it could be a murder-suicide, but evidence, including the fact one of their vehicles was taken, points to homicide.

Please add my prayers to all the others' for Sandy and you. Does she have any other family members to be with her at this sad time? ("Sad" doesn't quite describe this horrible deed, but there are no adequate words to describe this.)

Sandy has a sister and two brothers. Her oldest brother suffers from cerebral palsey and at the funeral in January looked very bad. Sandy herself is a three time cancer survivor. Tough as nails. The guy doesn't know it, but he should consider himself lucky to be in jail. 'Protective custody' if you will. The family made a statement at the press confernece today. The youngest brother was the spokesman and Sandy stood there crying throughout.

Yes, he has a very long criminal record. He committed these murders on January 3. He was arrested inside the home of another person on January 5. He plead guilty to that crime on Feb 5th, but was released from jail the 8th.

As I understand it, all the evidence was sent to the state crime lab in Madison(WI)where it was not processed until last week due to a backlog. As soon as the fingerprint evidence was processed, they came up with a match to Eric Webb and, thank God, picked him up before he could do any more harm.

Trust but Verify, thanks for the update! I'm glad that an arrest has been made. So sad that the criminal justice system didn't keep him in jail for his previous crimes. Sandy and her family will remain in my prayers. What a survivor she is.

Another call from Sandy today. Her oldest brother, Tim, passed away today of an asthma attack. He was 50 and had cerebral palsy. Sandy is quite shaken. I didn't know what to say! I still don't.
