DEARBORN, Mich. - The speaker was nearing the end of his lunch-hour talk on the basics of Islam, and his audience - about 60 Ford Motor Co. employees - was beginning to get a little fidgety.

Then he uttered what amounted to verbal caffeine: "On Sept. 11 . . ."

Mohamed E.M. El-Sayed, a Kettering University professor who is an Imam, a Muslim spiritual leader, was trying to help the gathering of white, black, Hindu, Latino and Muslim employees understand how the terrorists who carried out the attacks on Sept. 11 may have used Islam as a rationale.

"After Sept. 11, the need for a series of "Islam 101" sessions became acute at Ford, said Mona Abdelall, a 17-year employee who heads the Ford Interfaith Network, an umbrella group representing seven religious groups within the company."

Recently, I've gotten a lot of crap by other people online for being critical of Islam. One such accusation I was slapped with was that I was supposedly intolerant of non-Christian religons. I corrected them by pointing out that it wasn't Buddhists or Sikhs who obliterated the Twin Towers, so my criticisms of Islam sure as hell aren't a blanket statement about others faiths in general.

Day by day, people in American are learning more about the truth of Islam. Around the world, the Islamics are giving examples of their behaviors, so no one will wonder what they truly are. I have made my own survey amongst muslims, and I have found that some have a differing opinion on what Jihad really means. Most do believe that Jihad means fighting, killing, terrorizing or whatever, in what ever they believe to be the cause of Allah. They see no wrong in an individual doing his thing. So Islam is not a peaceful religion, no matter how you try to twist it, and one day President Bush will have to apologize for telling the nation that Islam is a peaceful religion, and the Muslims are going to make that so clear to him, that it will be as plain as the nose on his face. God bless President Bush.

I hope these funds were not delivered to the Iman for "distribution".
