Hezbollah has received $200 million from Iran to help Lebanese people displaced by this year’s war with Israel, say two people with direct knowledge of the transfer, the first significant aid from the group to supporters who bore the brunt of the conflict.

Asked for comment, a Hezbollah official says an amount has been secured and a plan for distributing it will be announced in the coming days, without elaborating on the source of the funds.

Iran has maintained financial support to Hezbollah through years of crippling US sanctions: it transferred $1 billion to the group in the first 10 months of 2025, according to the US Treasury Department.

Iran has been working around sanctions for decades. Black marketeers in North Korea, Russia, China, all the cartels south of the border and organized crime syndicates around the globe effectively have their own banking system. If not, "sanctions" would have bankrupted them all by now.

I'm sure the latest sanctions on Iran hurt, but the government is happy to survive on trickles until the next administration. They could care less how much the normal folks there are injured.

The next traitorous dem in office will open the money floodgates again and we'll be back to square zero with these guys.

200 Million is chicken feed. They used to supply billions.

Sure they have workarounds, but don't believe for a moment that they have the capabilities they had before we started this conflict with them. The blockade is far more destructive to theoor economy, than sanctions alone ever providedThis article only confirms that reality. This is a show of strength that Iran is trying to put forth, but what it really shows is that their economy is in tatters. It can not sustain itself for long, which is why they are willing to theow money at Stria that they really can't afford. It will only hasten their financial demise.

We need to subvert them beneath the radar at every opportunity - and we should create tons of those opportunities. They send money to Hezbollah we find a way to take it from them and then give it to the Lebanese ourselves - playing Robinhood. Use our best cyber people to freeze any and all Iranian assets. Empty the accounts of the Iranian ‘leadership’. etc.

I hope the Iranian people hear about this - loud and clear that their government is giving away terror money while they starve.

Is that $200 million residual USAID dollars or leftovers from the Biden/Obama stash?
