Former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke called on Democrats to do more than "comprehensive immigration reform" the next time they take back the White House and Congressional majorities, at a rally on Saturday against the GOP effort to redistrict Texas congressional districts.

"We absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we're going to drive that car like we stole it," he said at the rally in Fort Worth called "The People vs. The Power Grab."

"You know, Democrats -- present company excluded -- have talked an awful good game on immigration for as long as I have been listening. You know, "If you just keep voting for us once we get in power, comprehensive immigration reform."

Well, we won power in 2008, the White House, the House and the Senate. We won power in 2020, the White House, the House and the Senate.

The American people were watching because we had promised them what we would do with that power, and we absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we're going to drive that car like we stole it.

Dem plan
1. Birthright citizenship. Anchor babies. Automatically counted as citizens in census
2. Counting of illegals in census, Amnesty wherever and wherever possible, no deportations to inflate district sizes in blue states and districts for electoral and House districts advantage
3. Maximize gerrymandering to favor Dems. Stranglehold on House.

GOP counterattack
1. Make birthright citizenship illegal. Control border and stop anchor babies.
2. Deportation all illegals not just the criminals. No more amnesty for “Dreamers”
3. Maximize gerrymandering to favor GOP in House.

It’s the counting in the census that matters most for Dems even over amnesty and citizenship although they want that too.

He’s a deeply unserious person, and has the oddest, most standoffishly awkward presence on stage of any politician out there.

His PAC raised ~860 K so far this year, and has spent ~850K on “Operating Expenses” so far, which is probably mostly Beto’s rake. He’s a clown, but he’s figured out a grift to fund a million dollar annual salary for himself, which seems like pretty good compensation for jumping around like a dork on tweak once a month or so.
