Amazon suffers huge Prime Day sales plunge as families hang onto cash amid recession fears rather than purchase Chinese-made crap for $1 less than it usually costs. [Fixed it.]

I am shopping for heavily discounted movies. That’s about it. Not too many good ones though.

I’ve checked it out several times and they are only selling garbage that nobody wants.

I waited for Prime Day to purchase a wraparoud awning for my overlanding rig. It’s about $1000.

There was no prime day special, but the manufacturer had a good sale going on their site, so they got all my money.

Amazon stock is up over $3 per share today.

Walmart and Target have competing sales this week.

You cannot buy something every day. Dang. This is as bad as those shopping channels on cable. I knew a lady that sat there all day and ordered stuff. Her house was full of junk.

What BS!
Essentially NOBODY is fearing a recession...

Obama taught us the correct signs of that kind of event...

... that calculation didn't seem to pay off — at least for one of Amazon's biggest sellers.

Oh. I see. Your conclusion is based on a sample of one. I've looked at the Prime prices and two things emerge for me: 1) They're selling crap, which I don't need, and 2) the prices are still inflated.

People are a bit turned off by Bezos lately. He’s a disgusting megalomaniac.

There are no "recession fears".

People are just not buying the hype about "sales" for things they just don't need.

Top bosses like CEO Andy Jassy and executive chairman Jeff Bezos bet that more time would mean more spending from inflation-weary shoppers.

Americans are tapped out.

United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has commented on Americans affording European vacations, stating that in the summer of 2024, a record number of Americans traveled to Europe.

However, Bessent also acknowledged a stark contrast, noting that while wealthy Americans were enjoying European vacations, there was also record usage of food banks, including a concerning increase in middle-class families needing assistance.

Yeah, American families are huddling together in fear of Trump depression coming soon. /S

But they took advantage of low gas price to drive their new SUVs to the beach after a nice restaurant lunch as they are sitting together watching the waves. 🏖️

Recession fears? I think in all the years Amazon has had their prime days, I bought one item, a toaster oven, and only because the one I had, died on the same day as prime day. The reason I don’t buy anything on prime day is that I don’t need any of that shit. I don’t buy, just to buy something. I buy when I need to replace something.

Thank God consumers are not so conditioned into a Pavlovian response that they open their wallets and start buying just because Amazon creates an artificial buying holiday like Amazon Prime Day or Week or whatever. This restores some of my faith in humanity.

The real Drive-By Media fear is that they and the democRATS are shrinking in numbers* and influence. Their USAID slush fund is gone. (No doubt there are a myriad of other slush funds). When the democRATS and DemoKKKrats double down on hate (Ocrazio-Cortex, Jaz Crockfull, etc) it simply demonstrates who they really are, and who they have always been. Slavery, Jim Crow, KKK.

As their present day Brown Shirts BLM, Antifa are arrested for Federal crimes, they will experience Federal Prison.

We all knew that a huuuuge number of the illegal trespassers would self deport. The more the Leftist mayors of American cities double down on sanctuary, the more it seems President Trump is concentrating on those areas. Imagine the day when illegal trespassers will be afraid to go, stay in a sanctuary area!

Black men and Hispanic men voted for President Trump in unprecedented, huuuuge numbers. Both groups can definitely answer the question - What is a Woman?

**shrinking numbers - El Rush-Bo taught us well. Between 2010 and 2016, the democRATS lost 1,500 State and Federal elections. They are, at best, a noisy bi-coastal party. They had to cheat in 2020, and they could not cheat enough in 2024.

I did just get the Swiss Army Rescue knife/tool for my daughter to keep in her car. It was $42 cheaper than from the victorionix site.
