Appeals court temporarily lifts judge’s block on Trump’s National Guard deployment

A federal appeals court panel late Thursday temporarily lifted a judge’s order ruling President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard illegal, enabling the troops to remain assisting with immigration raids in Los Angeles, for now.

The ruling from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals landed mere hours after U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer ordered the president to return control of the troops to California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) by Friday afternoon.

The Trump administration in urging the 9th Circuit to immediately intervene called the judge’s order “unprecedented” and an “extraordinary intrusion” into Trump’s authority.

Gruesome Newscum spends most of his governing time in front of a TV camera.

I hate to admit it but in a way I would like it if Trump was forced to remove the Nat Guard. Let the riots go on and on. What would Newsome do then? He’d look even worse than he already does.

Trump can’t stand by. It’s a matter of conscience. “To him who knows to do right, and does it not, to him it is sin.”

He didn’t know how to handle this particular crisis during his first term. Now he does. I consider this as evidence of his sincere and growing interest in Christianity, not just statesmanship.

WHO gave this judge the power to make such an UNLAWFUL ruling.. a federal judge is akin to a pair of 10's while President Trump is akin to 4 ACES.

Shove the RULING up the judge's A$$!

This was an 84 year old Clinton nominee judge...who needs to retire... hopefully he will soon, and Trump can pick his replacement.

Link to the Order.

And here is the lower court’s (Judge Breyer) order of 36 pages which was written so quickly you’d think it was prepared earlier and submitted to the judge by Newsom’s attorneys.

The way I see it.....

ALL troops are Federal FIRST....and under the Command of the CIC.

The State National Guard is a loan more or less....to be available to the State if Necessary. If they fail to use their privilege, the Federal Government can move them to wherever they please.

Question: Does the State pick up the tab for their National Guard?? Or are they Federally funded?

Absolutely correct.

My father was in the National Guard and found himself serving in the Korean War when President Harry S. Truman federalized the Guards and pressed them into the Army at the start of the Korean Conflict.

To my mind....They are ALWAYS Federal Troops FIRST.....AND that means...the CIC has first dibs....and on his say so.

It would have been nice if Newsome provided the Guard with some accommodations....particularly because Newsome believes they "ARE OWNED" by the state.

But of course, them sleeping on the floor should inflame people...but....guess what...they're soldiers not whimps.

So much for Gavin Newsom’s victory lap:

Newsom gloated about the judge’s restraining order during a presser on Thursday evening:

“The courts have ruled.

The Guard will be back under my command — and Donald Trump will be relieved of his command at noon tomorrow.”

There’s also this from Trump:

“Trump signs resolution to “totally kill” California’s gas-car ban”

“In a few moments, I will sign three pieces of legislation that will kill, totally kill... they can’t take us to court. They can’t do any of the things they can do with the executive orders... the California mandates forever. And they’re never coming back.”

I love how he is exposing himself to the whole word as the hypocrite, criminal loving Commie that he is - only concerned about himself, certainly not the people of California.

“About That Judge Who Tried to Strip Trump’s Commander-in-Chief Powers Last Night...”

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2025/06/13/about-that-judge-who-tried-to-strip-trumps-commander-in-chief-powers-last-night-n2658754

“Charlie, brother of former Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and a Clinton nominee, shares a common thread that’s shared by most of these nutty coup jurists: he’s a race lecturer. He’s a hardcore Democrat and has donated thousands to the party. However, that’s the least shocking part. If you wish, you can listen to this panel discussion from 2020 about how the system is racist or something.”
