Odds of winning the first presidential debate between Trump and Harris are in one candidate's favor.
The stakes will be high in the first presidential debate between former President Trump and Vice President Harris on Tuesday night, and multiple betting markets have already picked a clear favorite who they believe will be crowned the victor.
As of Tuesday afternoon, traders on Polymarket gave Harris a 75% chance of winning the debate, according to the polls, compared to Trump's odds of 25%. BetUS also favored the Democrat over the Republican ahead of the candidates taking the debate stage, with implied probabilities of 68.75% to 39.22%, respectively.

Well, since declaring the winner is subjective, unless Trump cleans her clock, I think the bettors are voting on the Democrat/Press lies in declaring her the winner of the debate. They see Trump winning because Harris really has very little support as her 2020 run for the presidency showed. She had to drop out because no one was supporting her, before the first primary in Iowa was held
Because she is so eloquent and erudite? Her down to earth common sense? Her rock solid policy? The dulcet tones of he melodious voice? On what basis do they make this claim? As long as Trump doesn’t blow up and call her a b!tch he should easily win.

I think that that is more or less what they’re expecting him to do. I’ve seen some commenters hereon cheering that (suicidal, IMO) approach.
She will try to pummel him with “34 felony convictions.” That’s the only arrow in her quiver.
Harris has never debated in her life. She has never accomplished anything in her life other than sleeping her way into government.
She has her record to run on and to defend during the debate.
She doesn’t stand a chance.
These people who put these odds out are either stupid enough to believe their own delusions or are trying to make a lot of money betting against themselves under the table.
The bettors realize that Trump doesn’t really prepare. Muir is probably going to try to get Trump to down some rabbit trails rather than sticking to what he should be talking about. Trump doesn’t try to anticipate what questions he will get and have well rehearsed answers (other than abortion). He just wings it.
I predict Muir will ask “Will you agree to accept the results of this election!” and/or something about Jan 6th. Trump hopefully has well prepared answers but I doubt it.
Not watching. It will be rigged by ABC anyway, and nothing Harris can say should make any difference to any intelligent voter.
The markets must be betting on what polls will say. Otherwise there’s no way of deciding the result.

Probably most think the “news” will declare Kamala the winner.

As long as she doesn’t soil herself she wins..honestly this debate is NOT about winning or losing..Trump does NOT have to beat her, or come up with some zinger, he has to present himself as presidential, show everyone he can be president and talk about his agenda and how it differs from hers..its really that simple

Trump should say this “If the election is fair and square and they come to me and say Mr President, you lost, I will be the first to call Kamala Harris and congratulate her and wish the best for the country, because its not about me and its not about her its about the COUNTRY and that is all that matters..we just both have different visions for the country..now my question to her is if I win will she call me and wish the best for the country as well”
