Two weeks after becoming the Democratic nominee for president, Vice President Kamala Harris’s surge in enthusiasm and support has considerably narrowed the 2024 election.
Last week in these pages, we wrote that while there was limited data available, Harris was clearly an improvement over President Biden. Now, new national and state-level polling suggests that assessment might be even more prescient, and points to an election that will be much closer than many had expected.
Indeed, national polling underscores just how much the race has tightened.
According to the 10 most recent public polls conducted after Biden’s withdrawal and aggregated by RealClearPolitics, Trump leads by an average of just 1 point, down from 3 points on the eve of Harris replacing Biden.
Further, Harris has an outright lead over Trump in three of those recent polls, including those conducted by Daily Kos/Civiqs (49 percent to 45 percent), Reuters (43 percent to 42 percent), and Morning Consult (47 percent to 46 percent

I saw elsewhere that David Axelrod was just on CNN and said Trump is up in every swing state and Kamala’s internals are not that much better than Biden’s.
They’re setting up another election heist.
The most effective thing we can do to undermine Trump chances to win in November is to persuade ourselves that are opponents are weak and that their poll favorability and favorable dynamics right now is nothing but “lefty propaganda”.
We should not sleepwalk through this in our fantasy bubble. Let’s stay alert instead, recognizing that this election won’t be easy. Harris in only a couple of points away from overcoming Trump. Let’s hope this is just a temporary honeymoon effect... but we don’t know yet.
It’s far wiser we start to realize that this election will be, once again, a very, very close one. Just dismissing the polls as “propaganda” as soon as they are unfavorable or close to unfavorable to us, would be a dangerous mistake.
The democrats unfortunately have erased the dynamics we got from the excellent republican convention we had and the direct aftermath of Trumps assassination attempt. The Dems evidently knew (decided) long ago, that they would replace Biden right after the Republican convention! It was the plan all along. And what a shock-change it did to the narrative... Sad but true.

votes, is saying he was more popular by far than Hillary or
Obama, and we know people crossed over to vote for the first

Biden was a nobody clown, so it’s statistically impossible
for him to have gotten that vote. We all know it.

election, it was so compromised.
Trump is running for his third term right now. He’s
already won two.

We miss-calculated the timing... and now we are back to a near 50 / 50 situation, which is the worse thing that can happen when it comes to another election fraud situation. Everything is being bedded for it, once again... Sad.

Although I understand your points, I’ve found the most accurate way to follow polls toss out the high and low numbers and then average the remainder.
