The neocons have wanted war with Iran for years and time is running out. Biden may do it to try to be a gallant leader. They were enraged that Trump called off their big attack over concerns for innocent lives. They wanted to do all out airstrikes in retaliation for them downing a drone.

Iran and Hamas have blamed Israel for Haniyeh’s killing, though Israel has not claimed or denied responsibility.
It's not likely Israel had the capability to plant a bomb in a state guest house surrounded by Republican Guard in the middle of Tehran. This was probably an inside job. There's a strong anti-Hamas wing within Iran's government and they could be responsible. Or this could be a false flag operation executed by the regime in Tehran.

Iran has no valid justification for striking Israel directly
There is no evidence that the death of a terrorist leader on Iranian soil cannot be attributed to any nation, and certainly not Israel.
Apparently, the bomb that killed Ismail Haniyeh was planted some time ago by Iranians.
