Thompson tried to take away Trump’s Secret Service protection. He also served on the January 6th commission.
Thompson doesn’t belong anywhere near this investigation.

Something wrong with you people and your reaction. It’s what our representatives in the house have to say. Our people are the problem when they get away with it. how about a non-congressional investigation?
As much as I think these people have demonstrated that they have the integrity of a third-world dictator and should have no say in anything, we have to allow cross-examination by hostile forces if we’re to be any better than Nancy Pelosi who seated the illegal J6 committee by refusing to allow people with views hostile to hers.
No way would I allow Thompson or Goldman to head up a committee that is supposed to find out the truth about the Secret Service’s complicity in an assassination attempt on Trump. But there has to be cross-examination allowed to ensure that NO committee is just a bunch of political henchmen who don’t have to answer questions about the evidence.

Not exactly a scandal. Bennie Thompson is the ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee. That committee has oversight of the Secret Service, so it’s not surprising that Dems would choose him as one of their lawmakers to investigate, since he serves on the committee of oversight (as the most senior member for D’s) for the Secret Service.

Stripping Trump of protection was discussed inappropriately. Thompson aide and field director, tax paid “civil rights” activist, Jacqueline Marsaw, tweeted she wished the assassin had “better aim.”

I’m trying to imagine these corrupt people in D.C., most of whom hate Trump bad, investigating an assassination attempt on Trump.
The only reason they would choose Benny Thompson for this investigation would be to further undermine public trust.
