Local police encountered attempted-assassin Thomas Crooks just moments before he tried to kill former president Donald Trump — but failed to stop the gunman despite the clear threat, according to a report.
After rallygoers spotted Crooks on the roof of a manufacturing plant just 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, police were notified and one officer climbed a ladder to investigate, law enforcement officials said on the condition of anonymity.
There the officer encountered Crooks, who pointed his AR-style rifle at them.
The officer then backed down the ladder, and Crooks immediately took aim and loosed eight shots at the former president – grazing him in the ear, killing one bystander in the rally crowd, and gravely wounding two others.

The eyewitness civilians stated it was 2-3 minutes before shots were fired after seeing man with rifle.
“The officer backed down the ladder and the shooter immediately took aim”? Sharp shooters and snipers hold their breath to aim. How is this twerp so calm after that and able to hit Trump? Thank the good Lord Trump turned his head. Divine providence certainly took over.

Also, why didn’t this alleged cop inform anyone about what was going on? Shouldn’t he have informed someone — anyone! — about the shooter on the roof?
I have a lot of questions about the accuracy of this report.

All true. But explain why with them all doing that on the radio, Trump was left onstage.

just like the snipers paid no attention to the locals telling them there is a man on the roof with a gun, they knew he was there had him in their sites and waited until he got off a few before killing the evidence
