The January 6th committee was very probably an illicitly formed body, with NO input as to its makeup from the Republican leadership. Sure, there were TWO “Republicans in name only” named to the committee, but the nomination came from Nancy Pelosi, and NOT from the Republican leadership.

Isn’t there something from “Robert’s Rules of Order” that should apply here? Or do the Democrats not even consult that rulebook when they get around to making up stuff?

Isn’t there something from “Robert’s Rules of Order” that should apply here?

Each house has its own rules, but they are in word and in spirit pretty similar to Robert's Rules, modified for the particularities of each house of the Congress. The the House didn't follow its rules in forming a committee and that a subsequent house declares the acts of the illegitimate committee to be illegtimate should end the dispute. Per the Constitution each house determines its own rules of proceeding, not the President and certainly not the DOJ.

And right after that she should be charged with obstruction of justice for using a sham committee to keep herself from being investigated for her refusal of Trump’s offer of 20,000 National Guardsmen, which would have prevented the whole J6 Fedsurrection.
