Former President Donald Trump's guilty verdict on all 34 counts in his hush-money trial appears to have a majority of independents and "double haters," those who have an unfavorable view of both Trump and President Joe Biden, feeling that the former president should end his bid for the White House, according to a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll -- a number that could have a ripple effect on the election in November.
Among independents, 52% said they believed Trump should end his 2024 presidential campaign and within the even more specified group of "double haters," 67% said they felt the same way, according to the ABC News/Ipsos poll published on Sunday. The poll was conducted using Ipsos' KnowledgePanel.
In an election year, ...

NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National survey May 21-23 of 1,122 registered voters nationwide shows Trump with 56% male and 50% female indie voters. In a 5-way race Trump takes 44% - walking away from the competition with Biden trailing at 28% and 17% for RFK, jr.
I am registered Independent. I am of the opinion that I do not want anyone taking my vote for granted. I want them to earn it.
I feel at this point ALL registered Republicans should switch their affiliation to Independent. The current Republican Party is just as much of a problem in this country as the Democrats
Sadly they are, during romneys run, can’t believe I campaigned for him, I was at a pizza place waiting for my order. Talking to owner and an ad came on TV, and he said I don’t like Obama, but Romney scares me(perhaps he was right all along), so I started giving counters to what the ad was saying .
After getting pizza and heading out he said “maybe I need to do some more research “. Under my breath I said maybe you should do SOME research.
Or better yet there was a man on the street deal and the guy asked a dim voting for Obama did it bother him that he had picked palin as his VP, he said no, he then asked did it bother him that Romney was black(the man was being questioned was black) and he said no
How do you counter that?
Lastly I tragically enjoy the man on the street where they give dim quotes and attribute them to Trump, and, of course, they roundly condemn them, but when told say xiden said them Deer in the headlights silence or the popular “I need to do some more research “
Not sure this country can be saved, but at this moment in time I think Trump is the only one who can. As flawed and fallen as he is(we all are), I think he can rally patriots to do the right thing, and change course.
Alternately at time I feel he is the pilot of a plane with 3 of the 4 engines out and at best he may extent the crash site a few miles
What I’d like to know is how many of these independents prior to his conviction preferred that Trump drop out and be replaced with someone else. I suspect it might have been around 52%. Obviously the “double haters” already “hate” Trump, so naturally they’d want a new candidate to consider. The haters are irrelevant because they’d want any excuse to have different choices. The real question is, is this really a shift of any sort in the preferences of independents? Maybe it is, because the propaganda line has been pushed so hard in the mainstream media, but I hope this is just reconfirming attitudes that were already there.
ABC poll,..
“I tragically enjoy the man on the street where they give dim quotes and attribute them to Trump, and, of course, they roundly condemn them,”
I watched one of these when reporters asked people leaving polling places when McCain/Palin was the ticket. The questions were about things Palin supposedly said — but didn’t. One was, “Who said, ‘I can see Russia from my porch’?”
Of course, they’d say it was Palin. Then their eyes went vacant when they learned it was Tina Fey.
Depends on how the triple haters are polling.
ABC Poll = The George Stayontopofthis Poll.
George Sitandpoopalot
There was another in kalifornia, of course, where a person had a petition where it said guns should be outlawed so only criminals would have guns
An people were signing it
Can’t fix stupid
"Trump guilty of 34 felony counts."
What crime did he commit????
"....Uhhhh....Hush money to a porn star to influence the election...."
With ‘friends’ like this, who needs enemas?
And that WIFE of his:
I don't think NC is going to be a problem.
They told me face to face that Trump said we should inject bleach. “It was on all the networks!”
“Trump guilty of 34 felony counts.”
Gutfeld: “So.”
I like that response.
Most of the so-called “independents” are basically Democrats anyway.
Only Democrat issues that negatively affect them personally make them vote GOP.
I guess if he were Eugene debbs it would not apply.
Funny, but they are not smart enough to understand.
