Protesters Remove American Flag, Raise Palestinian Flag in Harvard Yard

Protesters at an anti-Israel “encampment” in Harvard Yard removed an American flag from University Hall, the central administration building, and flew a Palestinian flag in its place Saturday before university staff intervened.

The Harvard Crimson reported:

Pro-Palestine student protesters at the Harvard Yard encampment flew three Palestinian flags from University Hall on Saturday evening.

A group of three protesters hoisted the flags over the John Harvard statue in the Yard, where the University sometimes flies the American flag or flags of the countries of visiting foreign dignitaries. As of 6:34 p.m., Harvard University Police officers were calling Harvard Yard Operations to remove the flag.

Funny thing is you don’t see this at community colleges. The students are too busy with school and working jobs.

Our grandson during the Covid B$ turned a part time job into a 4 year stent with a company installing a company office in his rental home..

When, he was graduated in 4 years in basically a 5 year engineering program.

The company hired him full time to work in the Bay area.
He has ended up as the manager of the unit he worked at in college.

What if I brought my own palestinian flag (to avoid any accusations of theft) and lit it on fire in front of these proto-Nazis? Would I be punished or would it fall under the same Supreme Court free speech protection as burning an American flag?

These demonstrations are very different. It was American students demonstrating then. These are foreigners. Many of these schools have 30% foreign students.
