Immediately after Monday’s solar eclipse, the number of people searching Google for eye-related injuries jumped while one doctor in New York City says she treated a surge of patients with eye pain.
"I had several patients come in panicking saying ‘I don't want to go blind,’" Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, a New York City-based double board-certified doctor tells Fox News Digital. "I couldn't believe it, people actually looked at the eclipse without protection."
Doctors and eye specialists had been warning the public for days not to look directly at the sun, but apparently, some did not heed the advice.

It’s perfectly safe to look at a total solar eclipse without eye protection. It’s just not safe to look right at the sun, especially just before or after a total eclipse.
Easily cured, just by eating a few Tide Pods.
Who hasn’t looked right at the sun, briefly?
Due to the past few years of lies from doctors regarding the fauci funded china virus, people just figured the doctors were lying again.
Using the Chinese made viewing glasses
The affected must have stared at the eclipse for a sustainable amount of time to damage the eyes.
If you know how you can look right at the sun without damage. But it’s best to just say “never do it”. It can burn holes in your cornea that will never completely heal your whole life.
Retina, I mean. Whatever.
Indeed. How stupid do you have to be?
Cornia? Wrong. Retina. Cornia merely passes light to lense which focuses and passes all wavelengths to the retina.
Is that Jackson Lee looking for the “gas” station on the moon. ROTFL!!! All that gas that makes up the moon has to come from somewhere.
Totally believable, if you've been paying attention to what's going on in this country the past several decades...
We all did it as kids, looking briefly, it doesn’t make you go blind
But a cheaper way to get real protection is just to hold a piece of plate glass at the end of a candle flame, and let it get coated with carbon soot ... makes a great sun filter!
Yes, I should have said retina.
Sounds sketchy. An arc welding filter will work, I forget the exact grade. 14 I think. But if you let your pupils fully constrict (opposite of dilate) instead of just suddenly looking at the naked sun, it won’t do a lot of damage to look right at it. I’ve heard of people that have permanent spots in their vision from looking at the sun, however. So doing it is stupid especially since there’s no real reason to.
Looks exactly like Maxine Waters!
