CLAIM: President Joe Biden said during his State of the Union address that the record inflation that has crippled the nation during his tenure has been trending down.
VERDICT: Misleading. While it’s true that inflation has fallen from nine percent to 3.1 percent, it has been trending upward for the past three months.
The monthly pace of inflation began to rise in November and has increased in each subsequent month, according to the Department of Labor’s consumer price index.”

Biden made one lie after another in his campaign speech last night.

Using eggs as a guide, the price is up about a dollar from last year, a dozen large eggs costs about $2.50, last year it was around $1.70 or less.
FOOD Costs up 5.3% so far this year.
Biden might as well say “All is good—the tsunami is receding.” Too late, the damage has already been done. FJB.
Who told him it was trending down? The cookie monster?
Somebody should challenge him every time he makes the claim that inflation is going down.
The question should always be about how inflation is going down but prices continue trending higher.
So, the question should include the partner question about how prices of goods and services continue going up, from the all-time highs which came into existence as soon as he took office.
Once the initial damage was done with higher gas prices, there was no way to bring them back down. The damage was done and can’t be undone, no matter how low the inflation rate gets. But, inflation is working to make those highest prices ever go even higher.
So, if the inflation rate goes down, are prices of goods and services also going down? Ask that question and Biden will be stuck with an unanswerable question.
Then comes the question about affordable housing, mortgages and rents. Home prices have gotten out of reach for most middle-class earners, and when they go for the second option of renting, even those are out of reach. So, we end up with a lot more homeless and a lot more poor people. Inflation rate going down is not helping at all, and the ‘lowered’ inflation rate is actually continuing to make things worse.
Prices of goods and services and living quarters are things that Biden has no clue about making better. And then, there is the out-of-control government spending, which is also making things a lot worse, and Biden;s solution and that of most democrats is to raise taxes and make businesses pay more and the rich pay more.. Dumb as hell.
Might be simpler and shorter to inform the public what was truthful.

Just got back from the grocery store - my bill says inflation has not dropped at all, not at all - and is still raging.
I’ve seen no decrease in prices at all, anywhere.
Ain’t gonna happen as long as debt expands faster than real productivity.
Interest alone is pushing the debt higher and higher.
If your balance sheet looked like that, you would be deemed a bankrupt.
It’s not sustainable and is only going to get worse.
