The Jan. 25 episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” went viral after creating a divide among fans for a racially-charged rape episode.
The episode features a white female rape victim that resisted testifying against her black attacker out of fear that he wouldn’t get a fair trial due to his race. The episode, called “Truth Embargo,” stars actress Romina D’Ugo in the role of the rape victim, Natalie, and the role of the rapist named Jay is played by actor Mykey Cooper, according to Fox News. Social media exploded after Natalie’s lesbian partner, played by actress Keeley Miller, told detectives Natalie is upset with the racial discrimination in the justice system.

According to Whoopi Goldberg, it’s not “rape rape.”
You are correct.
I just found this post which details how Carroll came up with her lies....

You never needed to. The universal script for an episode of Law & Order is:
Has there been a crime?
Is there a straight white guy in a guest-star role?
No matter what the evidence or eyewitness testimony says, the straight white guy s the *real* criminal here, but that’s not revealed until the last 15 minutes.
Law & Odor could do the Jeff Dahmer story and find a straight white guy to be the one to blame.
I never watched even one episode of this or the related shows all these decades until my dear wife died in 2023 and I couldn’t stand the silence. Actually, L&O Criminal Intent was the best. Dick Wolfe does allow black villains and his comic caricatures of white supremacist cults and religious zealots are absurd enough to be shrugged off.
The “law of unintended consequences” is that I believe millions of viewers see the system of pseudo-justice lets the guilty get away to find new fresh victims-—90% of the time. I’ve seen nearly all the original L&O and all the SVU ones now and the guilty get off, the case is lost, a vigilante has to shoot the guilty perp on the steps most of the time. Or a few brief years in prison is promised.
The monstrous juvenile Henry in Born Psychopath who got out as “cured” from a mental facility in Post-Graduate Psychopath (2021) who killed so many and the serial torture killers Gregory Yates and William Lewis who get away are actually instructive to the naive and dimwitted American public I disdain.
Although I prefer the old Darren McGavin Mike Hammer who once brutally beat the guilty criminal to teach him a lesson (I watch that over and over) and threw one down a high staircase because the killer had done that to an innocent old lady after he robbed her, and the best of Sgt. Hank Voight in Chicago PD, this scene in an episode where a bystander asked Benson “What happened to that bleeding heart of yours?” Benson: “All the blood drained out of it.”

This one where the life of a missing girl depends on getting the criminal to talk instead of smirk and demand a lawyer.

Annnd of course ,his next victims will have then same outlook......
Why not? Some women are pen pals with convicted serial killers of other women. Look at all the swooning for the rapist Bill Clinton.
The first person they interview is never the perp. The second or third person they interview…they spend a little too much time on them. They are the guilty one.
It works every single time. Anyone who gives a little too much superfluous information gets the conviction.
This variant of the L&O franchise is unwatchable.
Which is why as I said, I watch very little network content for that very reason.
It’s been my studied opinion that a lot of network programming is a form of low grade brainwashing ......and a fair amount of cable as well for that matter.
Early years were its best.

Yep. Just like Saturday Night Live.
Then I quit watching any of those "Clever Cop" shows.
It has been years since I watched any episode.
Everyone involved with that TV trash is Entertainment Scum.
I used to watch the old L&O as the ADA McCoy became more and more unhinged and strident in his twisting and stretching the law to get convictions for non-crimes. And also I enjoyed seeing NYPD detectives being written as left wing activists. It was kind of fascinating and amusing. It helped that Sam Waterson is a complete nut in his own right. But after a while it got boring. I’m surprised it’s still on.
Thanks!
Supposedly in the First Season, then it was "could have happened" for a couple of years.
After that the "actual events" are less accurate than E. Jean Carroll's accusations of Donald J. Trump.
I liked the original, I could get past the second episode of SVU when it was first released.
Stop watching Wolf Dick garbage
The unbearable woke preaching that incites nausea like this, and it’s become the Olivia Benson Show. She’s just not interesting enough to carry the show alone.
“Early years were its best.”
Paul Sorvino, George Dzundza, etc. The best.
Some episodes supposedly “ripped from the headlines”.
There was a real case where a white woman, a movie director, was attacked and strangled in her office apartment, by an illegal alien Hispanic construction worker, and then hanged by him.
Initially, her murder was declared a suicide. Her family fought to have the case reopened, and the murderer was found.
When Law and Order did an episode based on the case, they changed the murderer to the white employer of the illegal alien, who wanted to hide that he was employing illegal labor.
The usual whodunit solution for Law and Order:
who is the most prominent, privileged white character? That’s whodunit.
