BREAKING: Ray Epps, the only January 6 protester who actually told people to go into the Capitol, has been officially sentenced to one year probation, $500 restitution, and 100 hours community service.

While many J6 protesters are rotting in jail for non-violent crimes, Epps escapes a prison term entirely.

@RepThomasMassie

Ray Epps, the man who directed people to go into the Capitol and privately claimed credit for orchestrating the Capitol breach, gets one year probation. Nothing to see here!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember this?
Ray Epps, the one guy the J6 Committee doesn't seem to care about, claims in texts with his nephew that he "orchestrated" things at the Capitol
It's so weird that, with all the people involved in January 6th sitting in prison, and a former President who said to protest peacefully constantly slandered as riot inciter, the one man who we know that wanted people to riot inside the capitol and wanted others to join his protest is, for some reason, never considered as a conspirator by the J6 committee.
From that AP story:
[Epps] received no jail time, and there were no restrictions placed on his travel during his probation, but he will have to serve 100 hours of community service. He appeared remotely by video conference and wasn't in the Washington, D.C., courtroom when Chief Judge James Boasberg sentenced him.
ZERO travel restrictions! Guy must have some AMAZING connections in DC.
Meanwhile, Babylon Bee actors get arrested at the airport in front of their pregnant wives and have to wait for enhanced security screenings, all because they peacefully crossed the threshold of the Capitol doors as police calmly escorted people through the building.
Epps should tell this grandma with cancer how he pulled off mere community service!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Today, this 69-year-old grandma with cancer went to federal prison for trespassing at the Capitol. Lefties are SUPER angry that it's only for 60 days.

Yes, they sent "Only 60" trending because leftism is all about that hate.

Back to the AP story:

Epps' sentencing took place in the same building where Trump was attending an appeals court hearing as the former president's lawyers argued he's immune from prosecution on charges he plotted to overturn the results of the 2020 election he lost.

That's quite a visual for our justice system, isn't it?

Another bright day in the Banana Republic!!

I actually thought he’d do 6 months in Club Fed and get a nice bank deposit as a reward. Missed on that although I’m guessing the bank account is nice and fat as a thank you.

He won’t do a second of community service other than clearing brush on his ranch this summer to reduce the fire hazard, something he’d be doing anyhow.

He’s a Fed and he’s protected.

That was obvious the minute the New York Times wrote a sympathetic article for poor Ray and his wife being so harassed by conservative meanies and the Left rallying around a guy caught on video inciting a riot and even crossing barricades.

I was surprised that he was fined at all, but thought they’d give him a token amount.

Well gezzz, that’s a big relief...So I guess we can assume none of these people were politically attacked by the corrupt in D.C., all were treated fairly, and this was not a political vendetta criminally staged by the DOJ, FBI, White House etc.. It’s not like some of these people were throw in government cages for years, some of whom were subjected to solitary confinement. Right?

No, not at all. Many have been unfairly treated.

Others, like Dominic Pezzola got the sentence they deserved.

So unequal application of the law. All those in prison should be released right? This guy in on video compelling people to go to the capitol building, storm the fence, and enter the building. Probation? People that weren’t even there are in prison over it.

Could this be used for appeals by others?

He left out an apostrophe in the contraction of “you are” and totally changed the meaning of a sentence and the grammar police throw the book at him. Good be worse at least on grandmothers got eaten.

This could be a future RICO case involving the DOJ as one of the defendants.

In addition to breaking a window, what other unlawful acts did Pezzola do that warrant 10 years in prison as well as 3 yrs supervised release?
