The Hezbollah leader took his time to respond to the past month of bloodletting which has turned the Middle East into a tinder box.
And when Hassan Nasrallah spoke, what he did not say was as important as what he said.
There was no declaration of all-out war on Israel. At least, not now. ...Hassan Nasrallah insisted that the 7 October attacks by Hamas were a "100% Palestinian operation", carried out in great secrecy, concealed even from Hamas's allies.
"It has no relation to any regional or international issues," he said, in effect claiming he did not know and neither did Iran.
...The indications are that Hezbollah plans to leave the war in Gaza to Hamas, for now.

I don't think the war in Gaza is going the way the mullahs hoped. I also don't think this was the big speech Nasrallah planned.
Not quite ready to die for Allah eh?
Say Aloha to the heavenly Snackbar, boys.
It must be incredibly miserable in Gaza now - may it get worse and be so forever - the Iranian brass doesn’t want any part of Teheran looking like Gaza City - in my opinion anyway.
On top of that - they’re a bunch of pussies that are all bluster.
We’ll see.
As an Israeli General said hours before Nasrallah’s speech: “If Hezbollah enters war with Israel, Beirut will look like Gaza”.
From his mouth to God’s ears
Israelis probably sent them a video scene of a death ray turning a Hezbollah boss a burned out marshmallow followed by a closeup of an empty smoking turban on the ground.
Guerin is an Israel hating, Irish beetch. She’d be upset by this
Hezbollah knows if it drags Lebanon into this, the other sectarian clans will not be happy with them.
It seems that Iran prefers not to be on the receiving end of an Israeli response.
Samir Geagea, head of Lebanese Forces party made comments last week about the Lebanese parliament enforcing Un resolution 1701 to deploy the army and disarm groups in Lebanon, in particular Hezbollah. Could Hezbollah face a two front war if they started open fighting with Israel...its a possible, slightly
Bluff called
The US is the great Satan. Death to America! Keel feelthy Joo pigs. We will drink your blood and your childrens blood! We are brave and stalwart and will kiil the enemies of our people... oh and by the way we really really really really had nothing to do with the Hamas attack, okay? Dont look at us okay? Oh and death to Israel... just remember we didnt know about Hamas. Ok?
Those 6 or so Hamas “leaders” in Quatar need to go to the tunnels in Gaza to meet their Prophet.
With Lebanon hosting loads of displaced from the Syrian internal wars, economic turmoil, and still dealing with the port blast effects, the last thing Beirut wants is a war with Israel. What Hezbollah could expect in the rear is exemplified by this action by Druze villagers in SE Lebanon back in 2021. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/lebanese-druze-halt-hezbollah-rocket-launcher-convoy-after-attack-on-israel/amp/
This wasn’t in the Druze heartland either. I suspect these kind of backdrops going on in Lebanon is restraining the Hezbollah nutcases
I don’t think I will take the BBC report at face value unless it matches with MEMRI’s translation.
Terrorist are good at surprised attacks on civilians, not so good against trained solders (with air superiority).
Israel is on a complete war footing and they could stop attacking Gaza and turned their attention to Lebanon, Syria, or Iran without much trouble.
It can not be lost on these leaders that Israel has been systematically taking out the leadership of Hamas. If they join the war, they (the leaders) become targets.
