Spent the entire month of June in the va hospital. Again (second year in a row). And then 4 1/2 months in a skilled nursing rehab facility. Solved some of the medical issues but I'm still under the weather. Arms and hands still extremely weak. Still in bed for most of my time. Still can't sit in my powerchair very long. Still can't feed myself, etc. Still can't type. Still using voice recognition software to enter posts, etc. Very slow.
Our big problem right now is Chris is overwhelmed and stressed out. We're now looking for a full-time, live-in 24/7 caregiver. We can offer a salary plus room and board to the right person.
So basically, I've been in bed now for a year and a half And I've lost most of my strength. It's gonna take a lot of therapy To get me back on my feet. Still praying for miracles.
Thank you all very much for your continuing prayers and support. God bless.
prayers up for you, for Chris and that you will find the best in home helper ever

Sealing every point of prayer, with the blood of Jesus Christ....Amen.
God Bless you too Jim... you’re in our hearts.
I will pray for you Mr. Robinson. Our country needs good men like you now more than ever. FR is a lifeline in the sea of insanity in which we find ourselves.
Joining you in prayer, dear Syncro, for our wonderful Jim and Chris, and all faithful, supportive freepers praying for them!
I worked for 30 years as an RN. I’d get patients all the time who came to the hospital and were what is called ‘full codes’ but I’d see they came from hospice care and I’d say ‘why are they here? They were on hospice?’ and then I’d find out the patient’s familys would of course when the patient took a turn for the worst would call an ambulance and try to save their mother’s (or whatever familymember) life. We always did provide something to keep them better, iv fluids, food, antibiotics, pump their health back up. Send them home, after seeing social services and restarting hospice. That is how I know and why I suggest it because it gives the patient a lot of comfort care and it’s all free, covered under insurance. Every six months they review it and of course they want to keep that check rolling in and so many or most of the time it’s renewed. It would be perfect for Jim. Getting the care and then getting better!
This makes me wonder if the hospice organization truly explained the basic fundamentals of end of life care. If so, then then family ignored their common sense and caring instructions.
No, they truly understood. Some of those patients were literally at deaths door but they still brought them in. It’s hard to let go of your loved one. I remember having one older woman who was seriously unable to talk, didn’t eat, pretty far into dementia, but they were trying to save mom. I get it.
“I get it.”
I’m glad you do, cause I don’t.
In most cases the individual has signed medical directives, DNR’s, have previously clearly stated their wishes and etc.
Then at the very moment when these clear intentions are needed, the family does a 180? They completely ignore the final wishes of the patient? They prolong the suffering of a dying individual for no good reason?
I hope my family never does that to me.
Jim our prayers have been up for you and your family, and especially to find the help and assistance and the PT you need to give you the health and hope you deserve. You’ve helped us all through FR and we need to help you.
If only our government would learn to be responsible, honest, and encourage freedom. It would be huge if they could just learn to spend any tax money wisely enough to actually help our citizens and our country, such as with effective cures and with good efficient health care policies. Instead they waste trillions on corrupt inept politicians, bureaucracies, reduced defense, and policies that only make other countries richer and keep the forever wars going.
Be so proud of what you have done. More importantly that we need you to continue helping to keep America free and strong. Jim.
It’s actually a common thing. Saw many over the years. A lot of times the family just was in denial.
Prayers for Jim and Chris.
May the Love of our Lord Jesus cover and heal you both!
Amen!
Sorry to hear again of the continued disability, and I would like to help but I simply cannot. But may the Lord God or all grace provide you with care you need, and may the light of Christ increasingly be your vision as distractions are put away.
thanks for the update
prayers always
