Tourists and travelers are one thing, but any U.S.-Israeli dual citizen who was abducted or killed over there are a different matter. They shouldn't even be considered "U.S. citizens" in this context.
I clicked on the story. It reads as if a third grader had composed it, and it has an attribution of 3 “reporters.”
Anyway, the headline says that Biden has confirmed that there are 11 dead Americans, and the body of this excerpt repeats this, But when I looked at the piece I learned that it is the State Department that has verified the number of dead Americans.

Earlier I remember the Daniel Pearl story of him on his knees made to declare he was Jewish which he did and then being silenced by the gurgling blood in his throat.
