The GOP isn’t doing a damn thing to stop what is happening to our country so why would the Dems stop now..they want Trump gone, that way Biden does not have to run and someone else can take his place and win easily. They know that Trump can beat biden, or Newsom, that is pretty damn obvious, but once Trump is out, Biden can say “Im too old to run Im passing the torch” and someone else will take his place. The public needs to be acclimatized to the idea and concept of what an insurrection is.
Charging Trump with causing an insurrection will provide the public with an education as to what insurrection is.
Trump will eventually be exonerated, but the public will remember what an insurrection is based on Trump’s case.
Trump will be elected.
Trump will then be in a position to charge others with insurrection in the form of a hostile government take-over and the public will not be unfamiliar with the concept, and may well come to understand and accept those charges.
If Trump is not charged first, and he tried to charge a member of the syndicate, the public would not be in a position to accept such a charge.
When all crimes are resolved in 30 minutes on the television, where all people learn about the criminal process, they could never accept a crime such as this, by people they support, on such a vast scale.
