Former President Donald Trump is looking like a runaway freight train in the 2024 GOP presidential race, leaving his rivals praying for a derailment.
Mr. Trump, in this third bid for the White House, is far ahead of his closest rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, in national and early state polls and is running circles around the rest of the sprawling field. He has a commanding lead even after losing reelection in 2020 and facing legal problems that threaten to put him behind bars for the rest of his life.
The building air of inevitability around the Trump campaign has his rivals clinging with hope to the example of the early stages of the 2008 Democratic primary. In that race, Hillary Clinton was considered a near shoo-in for the nomination in early July, only to see her lead in the polls evaporate amid the startling rise of then-Sen. Barack Obama.

There is free road access to Pickens, SC.
AWWWWWwwwwwwwwww.
Agreed. The more The Swamp wants him gone, the more I want him in the White House.
Ummm.. he did.
IIRC, Franklin Graham and Sarah Palin were in the room at the moment of conversion.
Can’t outlaw it. Instead have the MSM demonize it and give that gas-lighting thing another try.
I know how bad you Democrat-Lite Bush fans hate America First!! 💋 😗
It is easy to confirm any globalist who has no problem with United States losing middle class manufacturing jobs to cheaper labor countries. Trump’s tariffs on China was mainly responsible to help revive US manufacturing, along with reduction in burdensome regulations on small businesses.
It’s not about policy.
It’s about destruction of the establishment.
No one else will try.
Orange Man BAD !
BUahahahahahahahaha!
THe ashaoles never quit and now sound like a cracked record.
TRump will win the nomination because he can fight better than any of them and has a fantastic record. Whether he has a 40 point lead over DeSantis or a 1 point lead....Trump will win.
You are probably correct that no career politician will do that.
Trump is going to be in ADX Florence and won’t be on the ballot.
Yes, praying for Trump’s Salvation is the most important.
“ I think the Establishment GOP is looking to Merrick Garland and Jack Smith to save the day for them.”
Yes they are. If you think the GOP is going to allow Trump to be their nominee, you are out of your mind.
The goal of the people running the simulation is two candidates with passionate followings who will carry out the same neoliberal program in office (ie, not be “fascist”), so they don’t have to worry about who wins.
Remember how wound up they had you about Bush v Gore, Bush v Kerry, McCain v Obama, Romney v Obama?
That’s the contest they want. Sound and fury, signifying nothing.
RFK or Trump (or Gabbard, or Carlson) cannot be trusted to adhere to the priorities of the “donor community”, and the only way a Trump or an RFK is setting foot in the White House will be at the head of a Marine Expeditionary Unit.
“Of course it has. The prez whose record is lockdowns, big pharma blank checks and letting people die alone in homes and hospitals who gave us mail in ballots on his way out as a big screw you to freedom is very popular. Just like Obama.”
The suicide nets saved you again? Better luck next time. By the way, you forgot the unvetted Syrians. Don’t let it happen again.

“(75,000 at his rally today)
Was that the total? Pickens, SC has a population of around 3,100.”
I don’t know if it is true but I heard that Pickens allowed people from out of town to go to the rally too.
Ridiculous law. Illegals are not stealing middle class manufacturing jobs. China has stolen millions of manufacturing middle class jobs. Only solution is tariffs. Idiot DeSantis never ran a manufacturing business or construction business. He is against tariffs because his sugar daddy said so.
The democrats manufactured legal problems will have a long term effect on the democrat party if not end it.
The unlimited corruption has excelled well beyond the maximum limit.
