Air of inevitability builds around Trump’s bid for GOP nomination
The Washington Times ^ | Friday, June 30, 2023 | Seth McLaughlin

Former President Donald Trump is looking like a runaway freight train in the 2024 GOP presidential race, leaving his rivals praying for a derailment.

Mr. Trump, in this third bid for the White House, is far ahead of his closest rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, in national and early state polls and is running circles around the rest of the sprawling field. He has a commanding lead even after losing reelection in 2020 and facing legal problems that threaten to put him behind bars for the rest of his life.

The building air of inevitability around the Trump campaign has his rivals clinging with hope to the example of the early stages of the 2008 Democratic primary. In that race, Hillary Clinton was considered a near shoo-in for the nomination in early July, only to see her lead in the polls evaporate amid the startling rise of then-Sen. Barack Obama.

Here’s what we know:

1. The Executive Branch is presently controlled by the most evil and destructive people our nation has ever seen in office. They do great damage to America and the world daily.

2. These evil ones hate and fear Trump.

3. The GOP establishment has been part of the problem for decades.

Given all of this, it’s an easy decision to support the one the worst people hate most.

(A) those voters aren’t buying the slop that people like that FR poster are peddling, and (B) they don’t have any confidence in the other GOP competitors in the 2024 field.

I think on A they believe some of it, but B is overriding their ability consider an alternative due to literal political shell shock.

Trump will get the nomination.
Trump will win the general as well.
Much work to be done but it will happen because of that work.
What happens with governing after that, there will be challenges in the way of reform for sure.

With all the nonsense you post here about Trump, did you ever stop and think about why he’s so popular among REPUBLICAN voters?

You expect momincombatboots to be intelligent to understand that? Trolls are never very intelligent.

RDS fans are perplexed and frustrated why RDS is not gaining any traction. May be they should read my tag-line to lift the fog.

"The necessity of obtaining the consent of the governed is so annoying."

If Trump does nothing else than replace Thomas with another Thomas, and even possibly Sam and the Wiseazz LaQueena with more conservatives like Judge Justin Walker, DC Court of Appeals; then if others want to run their knuckles over sandpaper on how we got there, there's a top hand surgeon for you to fix your damage LOFL. And under President Trump, you'll be able to afford it LOFL.

Trump Trump Trump Trump
Trump Trump Trump Trump
Trumpity Trummmp! Oh, Trumpity Trummmp.

The only solution is for the Democratic machine to charge him with a crime, convict him and send him to jail until the morning he is tied to a post on the White House lawn and executed by a firing squad of FBI agents dutifully following their orders. Never mind that the statutory punishment may have been a year in jail.

Expect, "He committed suicide on the front lawn of the White House. We are trying to figure out why."

Nah, I think DeSantis will draw out more. Trump is a bit pro LGBTQ+, pro-abortion, etc. DeSantis signed a 6-week abortion ban and is no friend of LGBTQ+.

DeSantis is confirmed Globalist, who will export more middle class American jobs to China. RDS is against tariffs on China, nuff said.

My tag-line should lift brain fog for RDS fan’s.

“Much work to be done but it will happen because of that work.”

We are organizing now.

Everyone get registered, register other good voters, sign up to be a precinct captain, a delegate, a committeeman. ..

run for office yourself, or volunteer for a good candidate. Donate, organize. Get involved with Election Integrity/True the Vote. Be a poll watcher or worker. Now is the time.
