Harvard study finds implicit racial bias highest among white people

If there's one thing we should all be able to agree on, it's that all human beings belong to the same species, Homo sapiens.

But a new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) on Monday has found a yawning gap between what people claim to believe and what they actually hold true.

A team from Harvard and Tufts gathered data from more than 60,000 subjects who took part in 13 experiments that tested their implicit biases.

An overwhelming majority—over 90 percent—explicitly stated that white people and non-white people are equally human.

But on an implicit measure, white US participants, as well as white participants from other countries, consistently associated the attribute "human" (as opposed to "animal") with their own group more than other racial groups.

Conversely, Black, Asian and Hispanic participants showed no such bias, equally associating their own group and white people with "human."

“equally human” is a specious test that has no practical application to being physically human. In reality, it’s a test of behavior — which can be measured in part with crime statistics.

Seruzawa’s 70 plus year informal survey says the opposite. In general, Whites are the least racist. Asians are the most. By far. This includes visiting China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, etc. Blacks are close. Hispanics not so much except where it comes to Blacks. Those two groups really really hate each other.

Fact Check: Not true. A lot of people don't believe that claim, Charles Darwin for one. People support that claim because they want to be "nice". Scientifically, there is not universal agreement.

I have lived in Asia and have seen “implicit” racial bias among Chinese, Koreans and Japanese, with all three having many in the population negatively biased toward blacks.

I do not trust the folks that did the particular study the report referenced.

So they measure something that has no substance and exists only in your mind, all subjective and susceptible to manipulation by the surveyors, and come away with hard statistics that happen to confirm whites are born racist, there’s just no redeeming them, so we need re-education camps and wealth transfers to fix it. Alternate explanation: white victims far outnumber their melanated brothers in interracial crimes, 90+% of the rioters, gang-bangers, ‘knock-out-game’ champs, drive-by shooters, shoplifting extraodinaires, etc. are ‘the downtrodden peoples’. Comparatively, there’s virtually no white on melanated adjusted for population, so maybe, just maybe, its out there I know, but is it just a little possible attitudes are based on experience? I'm absolutely certain that nobody is going to be awarded a Harvard PhD for a study that shows that Asians are the most racist, followed by Blacks, followed by Hispanics, and followed, in last place, by Whites, even if it's provable beyond any shadow of doubt.
