Asa Hutchinson: Republicans Need to Take Trump’s Liable Verdict ‘Very Seriously’
Breitbart ^ | 05/09/2023 | Pam Key

Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” that Republicans need to take a Manhattan jury finding former President Donald Trump liable for sexual abuse “very seriously.”

Hutchinson said, “I practiced law for 25 years. Anytime a jury comes back with a verdict I respect the verdict of the jury. Jury verdicts reflect the community, they reflect America, and they also have the credibility of witnesses and the truth of the allegations, and they found unanimously that the allegations of sexual assault or true. So, I believe that we all, as a society, and Republicans, all to take that jury verdict very seriously. To do otherwise undermines our system of justice, which is second none in the world. Also it is simply a reflection of continued indefensible conduct by former president Donald Trump. That is what it means to me.

“Why didn’t Trump use that in his defense?”

What with a new york court, New york judge, New york jury, it really wouldn’t have mattered. The verdict was already known and pre-determined ahead of time. He can’t and didn’t get a fair trial in New york city.

But he didn’t even make an effort. He could have had his doctors testify in his defense. He didn’t even bring in character witnesses that could have testified that Trump wouldn’t ever do such a thing

We Seriously know the Southern District of New York is rotten to the core. So is the DC Swamp.

There’s nothing else to know about this.

Yes. Changing laws so that a political case can be brought to court.

Sorry if I don’t take the predetermined verdict seriously

I might be a tad slow on the uptake here. Will someone please explain to me what “liable for” sexual battery means?
Does that mean “guilty of” sexual battery, or not?
Because it sounds to me like made-up bullspit, as in, “we the [stacked] jury don’t know or care whether he did it, but the SOB’s gotta pay because: Trump.

Jury verdicts reflect the community

It sure does, Asa. Manhattan voted over 85% against Trump in 2016 and 2020. They hate him and wish him ill. They figure justice is "getting him"1
