The 3 likely ways Bud Light disaster might end – and only one is good news
Fox News ^ | 9 May 2023 | Dan Gainor

Warning: If you work for any major woke corporation, you’d better sit down for this. What all the corporations fear is the Bud Light boycott works. Suppose rational people decide they don’t want someone mocking women as the spokesperson of the product they use.

Then, all dozen or so companies that already have deals with Mulvaney are at risk. And not just them, any company that foists woke garbage on its customers suddenly might face the music or simply face customers who go to less-woke competitors.

That’s why Bud Light doesn’t want anyone to remember. It can’t risk it.

Clay Travis’ free beer experiment shows people ‘don’t want to be seen’ with Bud Light

Weekend experiment. Beers in cooler at Nashville area event. Pick which beer you want. No one would take the Bud Light all night long. Big issue going forward for Bud Light is many don’t even want to be seen with product. They just pick another brand.

Boycotting a dozen companies at the same time doesn’t work as well. You can only destroy one target at a time. This boycott is working because it has an isolated target, and the consumer has nothing to lose.

A side note -- if you say "Bud Light" really quickly, it sounds like a belch.

There is a cart in the local supermarket for donations to the local food bank. A case of Bud Light was in it!

That's cute.
“Whistleling past the graveyard” I think it's called .
Stopped in a gas station in Walls, MS on my way home. Mexican & American Roofers all in line with 40oz’s & 12 packs of Bud Light.
Of course I had my 6pack of Bud. Maybe Kid Rock could give you a hug to feel better. 😂

This is the best advice I can think of. Don’t spend money on people/groups/companies that hate you. Next cut all spending to the bone. Start killing your debt. Hard times are coming and some cash in the bank and in the mattress will buy you options when the world stops turning. It’s slowing but it is fixing to stop. Our politicians and our neighbors and our families have spent way more than was proper or moral. Eventually the bill comes due. This QE + zero / near zero interest party just delayed the 2008 hard recessions until it gets turned into a depression. I am not sure if I can find a chart showing it but GDP minus deficit spending has been low/negative for a while.

Appreciate if anyone can find a good chart showing it. In 2019 GDP increased 2.29% to 21.38 trillion but deficit spending was about 1 trillion or 4.6%. Without deficit spending GDP is negative 2.3%. It has been that way for way too long. We have had true negative GDP while borrowing 20+ trillion to hide it. That is crazy and the people are too stupid to understand. Imagine 10-20 years of negative GDP growth. That happened but we think we are better off.

I have tried to make sense of this whole thing.

After considering hundreds of scenarios the highest probability is that InBev has contracts for a certain amount of supermarket shelf space, and if they get rid of the bud-lite they can make more money overall by selling higher margin products in that vacant space.

That won't end well.

Actually, that's better applied to your ignorance.

AB declared today it's Bud-Light brand is down 21% last month alone.

Bud Light is forever and indelibly linked with perversion. Rational decent people won’t buy or drink it or voluntarily associate with people who do.

OK, but it’s really NOT that hare to NOT drink Bud Light AND NOT take the family to Disney World. We can walk and chew gum...

Rules for radicals.

They started the game, keep playing it.

Oh, and my bet Bud is gone as a brand. InBev has no choice but to double down.

Losing market share is one thing. Losing the acceptance their peers is worse.
