Despite the immoral rot that has set into our society, there was one area of popular culture that was long considered a relative haven for conservatives. Country music, with much of its emphasis on God, family and hard work, has been seen as a safe harbor amid the explicit wickedness that now dominates most of American entertainment. Unfortunately, the CMT Music Awards on Sunday night suggest those days might be over. If Chris LeDoux was still around, he would have taken a lariat to the stage and dragged the trash from the stage.
Country Music still lives in the country and on the highway but it’s been dead in the city for a long time. Rap, Woke and the electric Cowpoke killed it deader than dead.
Garth Brooks was the beginning of the end.
While Jeff passed last year, Randy and Teddy are still playing. Going on tour later this month.
What is passed off as “Country Music” these days is pure crap. Most of it sounds like Rap Lite and that ain’t Country!
I agree with whoever said modern country is “just bad pop music with a fiddle”
Give me Hank,Johnny, Waylon, Willie and the boys.
Country Cringe
I don’t think hank done it this way
NASHVILLE, TN — Early reports from Nashville's CMT awards are confirming that against all odds, country music has managed to somehow get even worse.
