Baffled Pilots Who Shot Down Mystery Object Over Alaska Say It ‘Interfered with Sensors’

The pilots of US Air Force F-35 fighters sent to intercept the mystery object over Alaska on Friday say that whatever it was had been “interfering with the sensors of their aircraft” before they shot it down.

Three unidentified objects have been spotted over North America in the past 10 days. The first, a giant airship “the size of three buses” is understood to have originated in China although the US and Chinese governments disagree about its exact purpose.

While the Pentagon says it was a spy balloon, China says the monster airship was a civilian craft designed to monitor weather systems – but even if that turns out to be correct, the two smaller objects sighted over the US in recent days remain unexplained.

The USAF pilots who shot down the object over Alaska “were not able to identify what they saw,” reports CNN’s Natasha Bertrand.

New Details Emerge About the Object Shot Down Over Alaska

New details emerged over the weekend about the unidentified object that the U.S. military shot down on Friday several miles off the coast of Alaska.

The new information comes after the U.S. military shot down an object with a “cylindrical shape” that was about the size of a small car, according to U.S. officials. The object did not appear to have any “observable surveillance equipment.”

“We have no further details about the object at this time, including any description of its capabilities, purpose or origin,” said Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder. “The object was about the size of a small car, so not similar in size or shape to the high-altitude surveillance balloon that was taken down off the coast of South Carolina.”

Accounts from pilots of the F-35 fighter jets that were sent to intercept the object varied, according to CNN.

U.S. officials said that the jets observed the object on Thursday night and on Friday morning before shooting it down and were only able to report back “limited” information about what they saw.

I would not be surprised that USAF pilots would be "baffled" by something interfering with the aircraft instruments.

Pilots were the most ignorant about how and why the load planners had to separate certain cargo on aircraft. It wasn't just flammability or combustibility, it was also interference with instruments. We had some pretty insulated cases where a box almost 3' x 3' would hold a small device inside, surrounded by layers of high-tech insulation.

If it’s Chinese or US technology both ‘intelligence’ sides know and ‘the people’ are the only ones out of the loop.

The all vaccinated military is obedient without question… even to their own children’s demis.
My European family says the US is the only country that does not know the US is in WW3. Nordstream was an act of war.

re - the “cylindrical” object over Alaska -

didn’t the pilot say there was “no visible means of support” ... i.e., no balloon, no wings, no jet engines?

I wonder what kinds of things might interfere with sensors?

Pilots who encountered tic-tacs said the same thing.

Though that doesn't seem the sort of thing we are dealing with here--not yet at least--it still raises some interesting questions.

It didn’t interfere enough to keep the A/C and missile from getting locks on it.

Exactly!

Let’s hope it is resolved before it becomes ‘kinetic’!

Likewise, pilots are not necessarily capable of identifying surveillance instruments. Many types could work just fine behind a radome, especially from this altitude.

Gun camera images would be nice. 80 years ago we had gun camera images every time a Mustang of Tbolt engaged a 109 or Fw.
