Democrats have introduced ballot-harvesting, junk-mail balloting, and zero voter I.D. as "reforms" to elections, making everything better, creating "the most secure elections in history," as some have brayed.
Rammed through blue-state legislatures, these reforms have created conditions for extended countings, making election day into election season. "Count all the ballots," they yawp, claiming they've "extended" the franchise, and made elections "more inclusive."
Who could be against that?
Apparently, just about every voter out there.
According to this I&I/TIPP poll:
The recent midterm elections were once again marked by claims of voter fraud and possible ballot manipulation behind the scenes by partisan actors, including even election officials. So we asked Americans of all political stripes and demographic backgrounds what rules and practices would they support to make our electoral system more fair?
More specifically, in our online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Dec. 7-9, we asked 1,094 registered voters to select among three possible reforms or rule changes: “Requiring voters to show a photo I.D. to vote,” “Stricter mail-in voting,” and “Banning ballot harvesting.”
The answers showed an overwhelming sentiment in favor of change.
What they found was a monster majority -- Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike -- that wants its old voting system back.
...by far the strongest response was for “Requiring voters to show a photo I.D. to vote.” It garnered 83% support from registered voters, with 60% saying they would support it “strongly” and 22% saying they would support it “somewhat.” Just 12% said they would not support a move, with just 6% saying they would oppose it “strongly,” about the same as those who said they would oppose it somewhat (7%).

“Convention of States is the only hope.”...won’t happen in our lifetimes.
And mail in voting is here to stay. So that horse is dead and it doesn’t need beating anymore. And I like early voting as do many people so that stays.
The DemocRats who instituted them WILL NOT change them back because it allows them to cheat and “win”.
Mail in balloting should be reserved only for those who cannot vote in person on election day and absolutely no unpostmarked ballots and no ballots accepted after the polls close on election day. In Tennessee, voter ID is required for in-person voting and no one complains.
They won’t win playing by the old rules. They have to learn to cheat as well as the Rats.
It’ll never be reversed. Rat Party Headquarters will arrange for cities and towns across the country to be set alight rather than see it happen. They saw how effective that strategy was during their Summer of Love (2020).
Well now how could this be?
More evidence culture doesn’t seem to match election results. This is a mystery!
You can run a “poll” on an issue - that doesn’t mean they are aware it is an issue with how they voted or will vote. If they voted for Democrats, and they did, they voted for these things to continue.
Trouble there is by nature one that would cheat and violate American’s civil rights fits in with the other side, not ours.
I don’t think this COA can have a positive outcome.
Let’s take a vote on it. Mail-in ballots only.
“The Convention of States is the only hope.”
Well, perhaps the only hope short of ones that are “messy”.
That’s nice. Too bad the politicians don’t give a rat’s *ss what the voters think, as they have effectively rendered voters irrelevant.
Have a read of “Article V” by Richard Rudomanski. About 4 bux on Kindle.
It does a great job of outlining the process. One amendment. No more. And 2/3 of the fifty states need to approve of it and send their approvals to Congress.
At which time Congress MUST act speedily or they are in violation of law. A violation of law that the president MUST act on or be removed.
Fiction? Perhaps. But a good read.
Hope for humanity ?
But, as this poll shows, they suspect that these changes aren't kosher.
The problem is, Congress.
And the only way you take it out of Congress' hands is to Constitutional Convention.
I just know that if *I* were a Democratic operative or strategist, I’d scream, cry, and sue to try to prevent a convention of the states while having careful and effective plans to hijack it. I don’t see anything at all about limiting it to one amendment.
Of course people don’t like them, but, guess what, what voters think or even do on election day no longer matters, as these laws are designed specifically to bypass voter will and intent.
Any government whose leaders steal elections to gain and retain power is a dictatorship. No one I know would fight for Joe Biden if he gets us into the Ukraine war. Why fight for one dictatorship against another?
Two can play this game. And the Dems fear that.
But I bet they still want to keep the RCV-enabled voting machines and early voting....
