Democrats have introduced ballot-harvesting, junk-mail balloting, and zero voter I.D. as "reforms" to elections, making everything better, creating "the most secure elections in history," as some have brayed.
Rammed through blue-state legislatures, these reforms have created conditions for extended countings, making election day into election season. "Count all the ballots," they yawp, claiming they've "extended" the franchise, and made elections "more inclusive."
Who could be against that?
Apparently, just about every voter out there.
According to this I&I/TIPP poll:
The recent midterm elections were once again marked by claims of voter fraud and possible ballot manipulation behind the scenes by partisan actors, including even election officials. So we asked Americans of all political stripes and demographic backgrounds what rules and practices would they support to make our electoral system more fair?
More specifically, in our online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Dec. 7-9, we asked 1,094 registered voters to select among three possible reforms or rule changes: “Requiring voters to show a photo I.D. to vote,” “Stricter mail-in voting,” and “Banning ballot harvesting.”
The answers showed an overwhelming sentiment in favor of change.
What they found was a monster majority -- Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike -- that wants its old voting system back.
...by far the strongest response was for “Requiring voters to show a photo I.D. to vote.” It garnered 83% support from registered voters, with 60% saying they would support it “strongly” and 22% saying they would support it “somewhat.” Just 12% said they would not support a move, with just 6% saying they would oppose it “strongly,” about the same as those who said they would oppose it somewhat (7%).

Similar, but slightly smaller majorities favored an end to mass-mail balloting, and ballot-harvesting, with, on that last point, a large chunk of those sampled (28%) apparently not aware of what ballot-harvesting is or where it’s going on.
Turns out Democrats are just as concerned about cheatings and riggings as Republicans and independents, and why shouldn’t they be? With Democrats setting the ground rules and cheatings easy, it may only be a matter of time before Republicans begin playing the same game and the only contest left in elections being who can do it better.
They are right to be concerned, as are Republicans, who, since the surprise-election of Donald Trump in 2016, have been able to watch in real-time the kinds of riggings going on under the rubric of improving the elections.
These aren’t improvements, these are open doors to cheating.
Think that’s bad? Ranked voting will be even worse. 😵🐎💩
The problem is not policies, like this mail-in ballot policy. Most Americans, Democrats included, dislike Democratic policies. It is just that they cannot bring themselves to vote for the Nazi (aka Republican, which is how they see it) party. So this policy opposition remains of theoretical interest, never translated into a practical reality.
Democrats have already perfected ballot-harvesting and junk-mail balloting. What does zero voter I.D mean, everybody votes multiple times.
The GOP will never win(?) another national election.
The Democratic party doesn’t care what Democrat voters want
either.

Actually they do care. Voters want Pork, lots of it.
The Convention of States is the only hope.
Otherwise, rigged elections, and uni-party rule, is the future.
All voters want pork. Republicans and Democrats alike. The reddest of red state voters damn well want some of that pork, too.
“When it comes to money, everybody is of the same religion”
Not gonna end well.
Who cares what the majority of the people want? The Deep State wants pliable Deep Staters to be elected. So election fraud will continue.
Oh, and don’t bother to write a letter the editor, or anything like that. The media is in on the fix.
A Convention of States (Article V) is a dangerous thing if it is not restricted to one amendment only. Possibly two. Otherwise it will be a free for all and you know how the Dems will try to run things.
Sadly, it does not matter what the voters want but what the elected officials want.
Everytime a Convention of States is mentioned by conservatives, I can’t help but thinking the Democrats are going ‘Please don’t throw me into that brier patch”....

The main reason that Democrats are expressing dislike for their new rules (imo) is probably because 2023 is not an election year.
Come on, man...Dims don’t believe in fair elections. They don’t believe in elections ..period.
They would rather have a consul of leftards choose our leaders...a democratic consul (wise leaders like obama, hillary, Romney, Cheney, Soros and the like) or course.
Cause dims are all about (fixed) rules and democracy.
And then the media would report..day after day after day.., what a great job they did picking our leaders.
Dems don’t care about polls, only power.
I would be all in on a Convention of the States, if the resulting document required an up / down legitimate vote and those states that vote it down are free to go on their own.
Thereby, if the result is one that R states like, the rat states vote it down and leave. Conversely, if the R states don’t like it and vote it down, then we can be on our way. Win-win. That would be a great way to have a divorce without a war.
Well, if that’s what the majority of voters want, that’s exactly what won’t happen.
Remember what we have learned from the Coup d’etat that the Jihad Junta pulled off…the American people can go to Hades. They detest us and want us dead.
