Musk resigning as Twitter CEO, another right-wing culture warrior who caved to the Left [Opinion]
Washington Examiner via msn ^ | 22 Dec 2022 | Christopher Tremoglie

You have to hand it to the Left. It is a powerful machine and global network that knows how to get what it wants. It consists of masterful organizers and propaganda artists. It is unparalleled in spreading its (toxic and destructive) political ideologies and brainwashing billions of people to believe in its causes. And, should all of that fail, it is made up of superbly effective bullies....

...Elon Musk appears to be the latest victim of this bullying. The billionaire new owner of the social media platform tweeted he would resign as Twitter CEO. The announcement came after Musk lost a Twitter poll he posted over the weekend...

...Conservatives and Republicans need sustainable courage, not those who can't handle the heat. It was great that Musk did what he did and showed the world the collusion between the Left and Big Tech. He exposed a lot of corruption. And, to a lesser degree, he revealed their thirst to suppress dissent and squash democracy's principles. But giving up this quickly shows that all the Left must do is be persistent with its attacks and the Right will eventually surrender.

Well, he hasn’t yet. In the vein of Mark Twain; The reports of my demise are premature.

Musk wasn’t foolish enough to post a poll he didn’t already know the answer to and was planning on stepping down anyways. It’s a brilliant marketing move. Brought a lot of attention to Twitter, keeps the liberal clientele on the app and increases the future revenue base.

Exactly.

Libs up the traffic to the site. Musk exposed the bots that remain as well as his haters.

He still owns the company. Got free publicity.

But notice the MSM went from Musk the green energy hero to Musk the Bond villain.

The above statement I believe, after 50 years of being successfully self employed, is coming from a very inexperienced person.

Elon Musk has many billions of his own money invested in Twitter and many billions of other people’s money invested in it so he’s not about to be walking away from Twitter. He has Space X and Tesla and other businesses to run and he will place a managing CEO at Twitter who will do what Musk tells him to do each day/week. I don’t believe he ever planned to let “Tweety Bird” consume ALL his time.

This is ridiculous. Musk has an empire to run. Buying Twitter cost him many billions. The drop in Tesla stock price (partly due to the perception that he is too distracted with Twitter) has cost him MANY billions more. He has work to attend to, and until the critics are willing to sacrifice two-thirds of THEIR personal wealth to combat the Left, they need to shut their yaps.

“Musk has recently done more for freedom of speech (which is a conservative unpinning of our country) than anyone else in America (at this desperate time that we are in).”

I applaud him for that, but he seems to be backing away as attacks on him from social media and government agencies mount. Maybe he is just taunting them by pretending to quit, we will have to see.

Doesn’t he have other companies to run? I don’t think it was ever his intention to be fulltime Twitter CEO.

It was also a way to expose more of the bots that were earlier used (before him) to fraudulently bloat Tw’s value.

In any case, being CEO also limits his ability to act — which was the reason he refused to be bought off earl-on by a seat on the board.
Not being a CEO means he can expose/hint at things that would materially hurt Twitter.

He was NEVER a right wing culture warrior. Just because he declared he had a problem with Twitter censorship did make him right wing, or a warrior. He just saw a business he thought wasn’t being run properly.

And he’s still the primary shareholder, the new CEO won’t be doing anything Musk doesn’t want him to.
