Wednesday on FNC’s “America Reports,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) argued the United States should be “all in”on Ukraine.
According to the South Carolina Republican lawmaker, failure in Ukraine would set a bad precedent for hostile actors around the globe.
“A lot of news, a lot happening,” host Sandra Smith said. “We’re watching the White House. We will be watching the Capitol later today. To what extent do you believe this country should continue to aid Ukraine in this fight?”
“Completely all in, without equivocation,” he said. “If Putin dismembers Ukraine, he will not stop. China’s more likely to go into Taiwan. The world will unravel. And no domestic problem gets better here at home allowing Putin to destroy Ukraine, quite the opposite.”

I must say that makes more sense than claiming the US must ‘support democracy’.
Is your son-in-law a career soldier? Bad news if he is. What enlistment contract did he sign? They vary in length and actually can be as long as 15 years if one is a serving military member. If he is career on a long contract he is stuck short of becoming a felon for refusing to deploy. I don’t know your financial condition , if you can assuring him of financial support of his family if he balks at being a globalist Hessian would be great. The US military has become a corrupt and careerist agency and is today no plce for any decent American, and that includes the National Guard and Reserves. The globalists look forward to having a military full of the perverted, the criminal and the corrupt willing to kill US citizens on command.
That does not invalidate the logic of the position. You are using a typical piece of apriori manipulation, denoting reasoning or knowledge which proceeds from theoretical deduction rather than from observation or experience.
There do appear to be a lot of people for whom all foreign policy questions precede from the dismantling of the Czech state and that all opposing leaders are necessarily a Hitler clone. Neither are really so and this bit of nostalgia as thought is just dishonest attempt to discredit non-interventionism as automatically ‘immoral’.
“A lot of news, a lot happening,” host Sandra Smith said.
War is good for ratings. Sickening!
There are many here who are entangled in the interventionist foreign policy model, During the Cold War the United States was quite cautious in is foreign policy towards the Soviet Union, Since the collapse of the USSR a lot of people here seem to be hydrophobic politically wishing to attack or be aggressive to all and sundry. Much of this is from Barca Lounger warriors who have seen too many dubious films about WW2 in Europe and how glorious and exciting it all was and seek to be fulfilled with some sort of contemporary replacement crusade, It is ard to be other than disgusted with people who are so shallow and fatuous that they seek inner fulfillment from the deaths of others and general destruction that can be done under the cover of moral self righteousness. These people are profoundly unserious and morally corrupt. They have no idea about the reality of the consequences of the things they loudly and with offensive belligerent ignorance shoot their mouths off about. In this sense they are evil people and should be confronted. I have aeen the reality of what such corrupt passions cheer for. I seriously doubt a single individual here who cheers on ever deeper US participation in the Ukraine fracas has ever heard a shot fired in anger or faced danger in their empty lives. That is why others facing these things excites them so much.
Well yes it is. In a certain sense war is the health of the state and certainly great business for the news media. nothing really new there since real mass market news media emerged in the 18th century in the UK.
right, this douchebag is getting laundered money
Well go over there and fight, Linda. You have no problem with American boys and girls being killed. So put your money where your mouth is.
Miss Lindsey’s secret offshore account is growing every day, no doubt.
Anyone who thinks it’s not now the Uniparty is a fool. There may be a few good republicans and the rare decent democrat but this country is now ruled by a criminal cabal.
If I knew where to go to surrender,I’d give up.
I actually believe the Washington establishment would like this war to continue on for quite a while. Pre-war Ukraine was just a money laundering operation of fairly modest size (for Washington elite), now the river of money flowing through that corrupt country is a flood for all of the elite and their supporters to feed from. They will do anything to prevent the truth of what has been going on in Ukraine from ever being exposed.
“Seems like pretty good return on investment.”
...until the nukes start flying...
Nobody is going to be interesting in hearing your apology at that point.
There will be no nukes outside the minds of the neo isolationist fear mongers
Not our clowns, not our circus. The only benefit the US gets from this, is discovering how weak the Russian conventional forces are. The only ace card they have is nukes…and with the corruption and graft in their society, I question whether they would function.
What an ahole.
We have no dog in that hunt
I am definitely one of the “neo isolationist fear mongers” and proud of it.
Better safe than sorry....
“Do not take counsel of your fears” General George Patton
“
There will be wars, slaughter, genocide. The players will just be different.
There will be heroism, great deeds, great discoveries, wonderful wisdom as well.” Guesswho
We were of the same mind during the period of late March and early April 1998
I just think the risk/reward on this one is way out of whack.
The details matter.
