Last week, we looked at the story of an actual domestic terror attack on a pair of electric substations in North Carolina. We still have no idea who the person (or people) who carried out that attack were, but law enforcement is continuing to investigate. As it turns out, however, North Carolina was far from the only state to witness attacks in this fashion. Between January and August of this year, there were 106 reported attacks on power stations, substations, and other elements of the power grid. And they’re happening all over the country. Fortunately, few have been as effective as the North Carolina attack, which knocked out the power in most of two counties. So is this all just random or are we seeing a coordinated, national assault unfolding? (End of the American Dream)
Someone has been attacking power plants all over the country, and federal authorities are trying to determine who it is. In recent days, we have seen significant sabotage on both the east and west coasts, so it can’t just be one individual that is responsible. During the first eight months of this year, there were a total of 106 attacks on the electrical grid in the United States, and that represents the highest number ever recorded in a single year.Hopefully, authorities will be able to get to the bottom of this mystery, because winter will soon officially begin. If the power goes out in your neck of the woods for an extended period of time during the months ahead, what will you do?
Nobody is trying to claim that the string of attacks that we have been witnessing is “accidental”, and ABC News is reporting that “federal authorities are investigating” this very disturbing trend.
As noted above, the timing of the two attacks in North Carolina makes it almost impossible for one person to have been responsible for both. It’s also highly unlikely that the two shooting incidents were mere coincidence, so we’re probably looking at at least two terrorists working in unison. But are they part of a larger network that’s operating all over the country or are these just examples of copycat attacks?
If there really is such a network, they must be coordinating in some fashion. Perhaps federal authorities will be able to track them down on the dark web or social media or however else they might be plotting. Winter is almost here, and this could turn into a potentially lethal situation.
Even though officials in North Carolina aren’t speculating about suspects at this point, that’s not stopping others from raising their own suspicions. As the linked report informs us, when you can’t find any other suspects, the easiest thing to do is blame the right-wing mega MAGA people. There was apparently a drag show taking place at the time of the North Carolina attacks, so it’s being suggested that it may have been an attack on the LGBTQ community.
An LGBTQ nonprofit in North Carolina had set up a drag show at the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines on Saturday night around the same time when the electric facilities were targeted with gunfire around 7 pm…Investigators are now determining if the backlash the 18 or older show received leading up to the performance led to the targeted attack.
Since we don’t have any suspects identified yet, I suppose it’s impossible to rule anyone out entirely. But with that said… give me a break. If a couple of guys who were opposed to the drag show (which didn’t involve children) were responsible, why would they coordinate separate attacks to knock out all of the power in two counties? Why not just knock out the power in the town where the drag show was taking place?
I’m fully ready to admit that I was wrong if that turns out to be the answer to this mystery, but it just sounds unlikely in the extreme. Whoever did this knocked out the power to tens of thousands of people for the better part of a week. That number would almost certainly have included many people of the same ideological persuasion as the attackers. Since everyone is apparently being invited to offer their own guesses, I’ll make one of my own. That attack affected everyone in the entire area. To me, that sounds like the work of anarchists. And that brings Antifa to mind. Perhaps that won’t be the answer, but it’s certainly at least as good as writing off yet again to the mega-MAGA people.
The climate nuts are almost certainly doing it.
the FIB
308, 338, 50 BMG?
Last two would indicate operators.
223?
ANTIFA
But all evidence may have burned up in the fires.
5. ISIS aka AQ They’re still around.
That’s a new one. I knew they spiked trees.
Same tactic I suppose? Makes sense from a tactic and results operation.
Sort of like spiking sides of beef and ham loins instead of trees.
I’ll take “Stooges of the FIB” for a thousand, Alex…
“..It’s the greenie weenies doing it knowing the complicit Establishment media will blame MAGA and give them cover.....”
^THIS^
Which makes these so-called “greenie weenies” DS govt assets.
They’re doing the bidding of ruling communist regime.
Watch and see if the anti-gun people don’t seize on these shootings. Common high powered centerfire hunting rifles are becoming a tool of domestic terrorists and it’s just too dangerous to let these powerful weapons and this ammunition in the hands of private citizens. They will show penetration tests and the damage able to be inflicted by these dangerous hunting rifles. They will talk to ballistic “experts”. They will tell their brain dead viewers that average Joe Sixpack down the street with the Trump sign in his yard is capable of bringing down our power grid, and that he probably will.
Sounds like a Home Land Security operation.
Tie the perps to the substation after repairs and then turn on the juice. Tie them in a series to the input line of course, no use wasting extra wire. There will be a penalty for carbon release into the atmosphere as they become CO2 and plasma. It is worth the penalty.
In all seriousness if one looks at the history of attacks against our infrastructure it is always the left.
Well, we are but do not.
We like our A/C operational, beer cold, beef frozen and on watch 24/7.
Islamic radicals have long studied unconventional attacks on infrastructure. They’ve even promoted starting forest fires. This could easily be an entirely domestic issue, but there is no reason at all to rule out Islamic terrorists.
The new Earth First! ‘tards.
Probably their offspring or new disciples.
I clearly recall when these vermin were a ‘popular’ cause.
Power stations and transmission lines were very high on their hit list.
Anyone at the FBI old enough to remember that?
My guess is as valid as anyone els’s.
The Feebs probably study the Tre Arrow case. He’s out and about...probably in the Portland area. He ran for mayor in 2012.
It’s all about the copper... It’s worth a lot of money for scrap mongers.
LOL.
With what we now know about the FedGov's involvement in actions against the American people, I will not be surprised to find out that the FBI, or some other FedGov employees, were involved in supporting the people who did this.

Large transformers are a long lead timeframe item. Good plan (max longtime) for biggest hurt.
