Cops warn that killer of University of Idaho students could strike again during this weekend’s commencement

Much maligned Idaho cops — under pressure to find the killer who murdered four college kids last month — warned locals and visitors to be careful Saturday as winter commencement festivities got underway.

Authorities cautioned those in the area to stay vigilant and travel in groups during the celebration because the killer is still on the loose, the Daily Mail reported.

“With commencement this weekend, there will be an influx of people coming in from out of town. Moscow Police Department and Idaho State Police will provide coverage on campus and in the Moscow area,” police said in a statement.

Moscow police said on Saturday morning that they had more than 10 investigators looking into the murders and that nearly 50 FBI agents are working to crack the case, including a number in Moscow itself.

The FBI flew into Moscow Russia and are having trouble finding leads. They have been searching for the house but so far have not found it. Spokesman for the FBI could not comment on the case when asked why they were in the wrong country.

I can think of fewer terms more vague and subjective than, "targeted," without specifying who was targeted and why.

If the killer(s) was/were targeting long haired, blonde University of Idaho co-eds, then there's a small, but still significant number of people at risk.

If the targets were Gen Z age people in general, there's a big segment of America at large that remains at risk.

If the targets were specifically chosen due to their residency of the house in question, or for a prior relationship gone bad, then the risk to the public at large has never really existed.

The way I read it, nowhere do the cops actually say that the killer could strike again. They merely warned everybody to take caution, which is understandable and ought to go without saying.

I agree and think the perp is probably in another country by now. At the very least he is far away from Idaho IMHO and the keystone cops are nowhere near solving this case.
