There are a couple of threads going on on FreeRepublic about this and I do not think people understand what certification of an election is and what it would mean not to certify a County election. I am attaching an article from today's Lake Havasu City Paper that I think did a very good job reporting what happened yesterday. I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone has. Mohave County is the most Conservative County in Arizona if not the whole Southwest. If I believed, for one minute, not certifying the Mohave County election would lead to something or even MEAN something positive, I would have done it in a heartbeat, even if it meant jail. But that just is not how this thing works guys.
And there you have it... balls vs doing the reasonable thing.
Kudos for both your post and your father.
Hey, that’s a brilliant idea... why don’t you set the example.
? Yeah... i thought so.
See my tagline.
Not anonymous, Kristen Stockwell of Mohave, here — “Fury” which I’m sure is your real name. 🙄
Also, calling for someone to resign is not name-calling.
Seems like you need to “wise-up” Furry, since you forgot you cheered when Hildy proclaimed she would only serve 2 terms. Remember? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCuRlM00uo0
(Hildy is currently serving her 3rd term.)
No idea that is your real name - thanks.
You didn’t just call for her to resign, you copped an attitude, along with some other posters.
Here’s the way I look at pledges to serve a set number of terms. Circumstances sometimes change. If they do - and the incumbent makes a convincing case, then the voters have the final say. Their say was they re-elected her.
And I doubt I cheered her on - I did not even know she was an elected official.
You don’t want to know what I think of the Maricopa Republican Supervisors. At least the Democrat is honest.
“ Show me a path to the Presidency, no matter what
Republican candidate it is, without Arizona.”
There is not one. A Democrat wins the presidency regardless of who the candidates are. The Democrats now own enough states to cheat on elections for however long this nation continues (May that time be short for the good of humanity and for the lives of the Christian underclass).
Our hope now is that the perverted nation destroys itself. I think the chances are reasonably good in a relatively short time.
Hildy proclaimed she would only serve 2 terms. Remember?
(Hildy is currently serving her 3rd term.)
Well, at least ping Hildy, so she can reply/answer/defend herself.
Is this true, Hilday? Now, we’re curious :-)
Yes I did. everyone thought I was doing a good job. Nobody ran against me which is always the biggest compliment and support you can get when running for office. But I broke that promise. I have said it over and over. I also said that if people did not want to vote for me because that was important to them.. I understood.
Bill Gates is arrogant and in your face dishonest. And the goody two shoes persona is just too much to take. What planet is this guy from? He is not ready for prime time. I suspect he is a big part of the problem.
Nobody ran against me which is always the biggest compliment and support you can get when running for office.
Thanks for the reply.
Most people are too lazy (?) to run for office.
Perhaps this Kristen Stockwell of Mohave will decide to run/serve.
“I believe many voters were disenfranchised in Maricopa County. Yes, I do. But my job is to certify Mohave County elections and I believe our elections were clean.”
Typical GOP attitude. There’s always a reason why you can’t fight. You could have refused to certify in protestation of Maricopa’s fraudulent certification. But that would be breaking the rules that have already been smashed beyond recognition by Maricopa, Hobbs, Ducey, etc. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns.
Q: in AZ (I am in CA not familiar w/AZ voting laws) if there is a voting machine/scanner malfunction at the polling place does the voter get a “provisional ballot”?
This page mentions several situations where provisional ballots are given out, but no specific mention of voting machine issues:
https://azsos.gov/elections/voters/voting-elections/provisional-balloting
Does Maricopa/Mojave use paper ballots...the “fill in the bubble”/”Scantron” type paper ballots that are scanned in a machine at the polling place? (That is the system that is in place in my county in CA...the FR HQ county).
What do you believe not certifying our election and disenfranchising all our Republican votes would have accomplished? Why isn’t everyone going after a Maricopa? Why weren’t there massive demonstrations there? Nothing would have changed anything if we did not certify. I take That back, it would have thrown my conservative County into chaos.
What do you mean we forgo due diligence?
Mohave County does not use voting machines. That is our elections are clean. I personally Voted against voting centers which I believe Is the beginning of the end of good elections.
Maricopa went for voting centers and still use Dominion machines.
“What do you believe not certifying our election ... would have accomplished?”
I already explained that in my previous post, but I’ll say it again. It would have put more pressure on the state to not certify. As it is now, Cochise County is the only county preventing a rubber stamp state certification.
“Why isn’t everyone going after a Maricopa?”
They are. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
“Why weren’t there massive demonstrations there [in Maricopa]?”
There have been demonstrations, not as massive as they should be, but there have been demonstrations. Why don’t YOU join them and go demonstrate? Why don’t you organize these massive demonstrations against the disenfranchisement of your county’s voters? It’s a serious question.
“Nothing would have changed anything if we did not certify.”
You don’t know that. The process is still playing itself out, thanks to Cochise County.
Thanks Hildy
