Trump rips losing GOP candidate Don Bolduc after endorsing him
NY Post ^ | 11/09/2022 | Yaron Steinbuch

Former President Donald Trump tore into defeated New Hampshire GOP candidate Don Bolduc — whom he had endorsed for the Senate — for walking back his claim that the 2020 election was stolen.

“Don Bolduc was a very nice guy, but he lost tonight when he disavowed, after his big primary win, his long-standing stance on Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Primary,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday.

“Had he stayed strong and true, he would have won, easily,” added the former commander-in-chief, who endorsed Bolduc late last week. “Lesson Learned!!”

“General Don Bolduc has run a great campaign to be the U.S. Senator from the beautiful State of New Hampshire,” Trump wrote in the endorsement

Agreed. This act is growing old and he’s only a liability at this point.

No it is not.

On talk radio this morning the question was asked “Is it time to move on” from Trump.

There are a lot of unforced errors. There are a lot of poor choices in candidates or cabinet members.

One example was Jeff Sessions. He was a good senator. Trump was warned that he would not be a good Attorney General. This was known in Alabama Republican circles at the time.

It did not work out.

This is just one example. For whatever reason Trump can make poor personnel decisions. And he can also make poor decisions in attacking other Republicans when it is unnecessary. Ron Desanctimonious is yet another example.

Is it time to move on?

The candidate didn’t matter. The Rats have a mail in ballot strategy that makes thr candidate irrelevant. Good luck in that state. The Repukes will need a mail in ballot mechanism that also is candidate agnostic. Welcome to the new world folks, they can run a chicken and get the same results.

And when McConnell cut off funds, did Trump step up with funds? Best I’ve been able to find out, No. Trump didn’t help anyone. He’s sitting on the money, which is dangerous considering his destructive behavior we are seeing.

It’s going to be more popular as the days move on. I am seeing less punchback on these posts than 24 hours ago. Of course don’t try this on Gateway.

It’s said, and I believe it, that he’s privately kind and empathetic. Why does he so often have to be gratuitously snide and mean to those who don’t deserve it? Bolduc fought the good fight. Grinding his face in the mud is just being an ahole

I am done with the election fraud issue. While I believe there is rampant fraud and I don’t like how elections are being conducted, the issue did not win. The only way we can fix fraud is to play by the same rules as Democrats so that we have the majorities to change election laws to eliminate fraud. So let’s shut up about it, but do not forget.

At the time he abandoned election fraud there were people out there who were quite unhappy about it. One guy had a nightly program on America’s Voice. Have no idea if people would really refrain from voting for him but I did notice he never was on the War Room after that....

Digging a hole for him self is a specialty and so is giving his detractors ammunition. He should retire, travel, play golf and enjoy his family.

It seems the same pattern (on a larger scale) as that of a lot of successful businessmen.

Trump values loyalty to him personally too highly. It’s a great trait when you are winning, it is a disaster when you are not.

More than one brilliant and powerful person has been brought down by their ego. Pulling off the incredible 2016 election would be enough to give anyone hubris.

I like to think most conservatives are able to reason, unlike the left. Dems won yesterday. And PA proves you could paint a potato blue and it would be elected in a blue state.

The turtle defunded his campaign deliberately. He was cut off at the knees.

Check your facts. McConnell gave Bolduc more than Trump gave him, despite Trump's PAC raising more than McConnell's PAC.

What the hell did Bolduc do? The turtle defunded his campaign deliberately. He was cut off at the knees. It sounds like Trump is so spitting mad he is firing at any likely target, Attack the turtle and say he has to go, which he does. The turtle cost Bolduc the election because he knew he would vote the turtle as either majority or minority Senatec goper chair.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

good take away.

lack of funding support cost repubs an easy pick up im.

doesn’t matter who turn off the tap, rhonda, mitch or trump, but somebody made a bad decision

I know for a fact that a bolduc was not getting any $$ from mitch’s pac or winred.

his solicitaions said as much

Bolduc was a third generation granite stater.

I like their attitudes to be more like their maple leaf neighbors? eh?

from what I heard, Bolduc expressed American First principles

he had cred as a retired Army General

again, imo, he was the perfect candidate to win that seat.

don’t think a MTG or Matt Gaetz type would work in that state?

I will give DT Sessions. He was the first Senator to endorse Trump and Trump believed he owed him. Sessions wanted AG as a capstone absentee landlord appointment. That was right at the start of Trump’s administration. Hasn’t he learned anything about practical politics in six years? What the hell did Bolduc do that made Trump so angry at him? This is a real serious question not one of the famous useless FR rhetorical pouts.

Grousing about defeated republicans is not a good look. Sort of like blaming the victim.
