Trump should name his cabinet in advance, to assure MAGA folks that he won’t be hiring swamp people again. It would also create a powerful campaign team for the 2024 election.

Ron Desantis should be Trumps Attorney General.

I thought that would be the case, and it's a smart move.

Now, the best event of my political life was when DJT ripped apart the field of 16 in 2015.

Let's do something like that again with Pence playing Jeb!!

no, Desantis needs to stay the hell in Florida until he has a chance to run for president. A cabinet position is a fast lane to irrelevancy

“won’t challenge” means if Trump doesn’t run, DeSantis will run. Yea.

Matt Gaetz is a good friend of both Donald Trump, and Ron DeSantis.

Gaetz said many weeks ago that DeSantis would not run in 2024 if Trump did.

Not sure, but maybe DeSantis might prefer to stay Governor of Florida in 2024.

Makes sense. Makes more sense to be his VP, since he’s only allowed one more term.

DeSantis is politically astute for such young age.
Why subject himself to insults by Trump like Jeb?
Trump can only be president for 1 more term.
DeSantis will be a very strong candidate in 2028 with full backing by Trump.

“ A cabinet position is a fast lane to irrelevancy”

Usually that’s true. But the Justice Department will be where the action is. So much cleanup and clean-out to be done. The job will require somebody who is committed and tough as steel - not a wimpy Sessions or unreliable Barr. FBI also needs reform. The AG who does all this will get more attention than the president himself.

No, he’s better off in the critical state of Florida at least until he’s term limited out

I keep wondering, who has a better chance of beating the Dem candidate (whomever that may be) in 2024, Trump or DeSantis?

They are both great and I would strongly support either one but if our candidate doesn’t win, it won’t matter how great he is.

In politics, 2024 is a lifetime away. Ron is playing it correctly, as usual.

He might get some competition from Lake, but you ain’t wrong. And if she turns out to be what she seems to be, those two are unbeatable in the real world.

I think there is a law against doing that. Not that anyone follows the law anymore.
