Jan. 6 Committee Admits Abject Defeat With Latest Action

In my opinion, the Jan. 6 Committee has had two main aims that have nothing to do with the riot, justice, or “threats to democracy.”
It’s always been about trying to damage President Donald Trump so that he can’t run or win again, and to hurt the Republicans’ chances in the midterms.
If you understand it through that lens, then you know that they are largely admitting defeat on one of those major goals with their latest action.
Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) said that they would not be putting out a report until after the election. They will be having a hearing this week on October 13. They haven’t had a hearing since July.

A big fat FLOP. The second hand hearsay evidence of their "star witness," Cassidy Hutchinson, was immediately CONTRADICTED by two Secret Serice agents who were actually present for the limo incident that Hutchinson testified about without actually witnessing. Then the Committee promised to subpoena the Secret Service agents to hear their testimony which they NEVER did.

Any committee hearing that will NOT allow witness or testimony that refutes their phony ‘evidence’ is not a fair hearing. It’s just a witch hunt and show trial on a speeding railroad job.
This is going to be the democrats biggest failure of all time.

Scams, that’s all the Democrats are good at.
There are tens of them if not more, going on right now.
Trump’s collusion with Russia
Trump is a racist
Trump is misogynist
Trump pulled fraud in New York
Trump tried to overturn a legitimate election
Trump tried to get his followers to take over the government
Trump tried to sell government documents to Russia
Trump tried to abuse government documents in other ways.
Trump was a top level criminal in New York

On and on it goes...

I read the same recently. Apparently Tony Ornato initially released his statement via a proxy, but recently testified under oath before the J6 committee.
Which makes sense- since he and another witness can contradict Cassidy with eyewitness testimony, why wouldn't they? It blows her testimony apart. There's only one reason they wouldn't testify, and now they have, that's off the table.

It says they do not have any way they can report anything that is not obvious bullsh*t.

You’re supposed to conduct the investigation BEFORE the hearings so you don’t look like a bunch of idiots. All they have proved is that a bunch of crooked political hacks couldn’t do what a bunch of crooked lawyers and a corrupt FBI couldn’t do.

A few weeks ago there was a hubbub about the “deleted” secret service text messages which had been recovered and sent to the show trial committee.
I am guessing they were all about the pipe bombs and embarrassing to the FBI.
Or... it just may be the strategy is now to use the report as justification for the lame duck court packing after Congress and the Senate are lost.

Pretty much. The J6 Committee started with a conclusion and are working backwards. Every conclusion should be questioned up front.
That may be deeper than is comfortable for some. Do we really know Trump tweeted about coming to the Capitol? (maybe Echelon). Was there really a demonstration, and if so, did anyone actually get hurt? Were the police officers Antifa in disguise? Or were the protesters Antifa? Or both?! Were the photos staged in Burbank? How was BLM involved?
These are important questions that will need to be investigated once Republicans regain control in Nov.

The voters of Wyoming spoke loud and clear on the J6 Committee nonsense. One of the conspirators of the J6 Committee was defeated in her primary by 40 points - one of the biggest defeats in history for an incumbent.
