I did not support Dr. Oz in the PA Senate primary, but I am sure supporting him now against Heart Attack Shrek, the communist mutant who spent the first half-century of his life sponging off his parents and now wants to spend the second half sponging off the feds with a DC sinecure.
Primaries mean something. If we believe in elections – and we have been pretty outspoken about the obnoxious election shenanigans we faced in 2020 – then we should act like it. Dr. Oz won.
A lot of folks wanted someone else. But you know who didn’t? A plurality of the Pennsylvania GOP.
What’s the proper response when you lose a primary? It’s to suck it up, get on the team, and bring in the win.
There’s little more obnoxious than Republicans getting in a hissy fit because they did not get their way after somebody else won fair and square.
We need unity in the tough PA Senate race, and we are not getting it to the extent we need.
You can have a hulking Marxist ogre whose fried brain means he will be a ventriloquist dummy for the radical lunatics surrounding him, or you can have a guy who is going to be with us a good 95% of the time and give the GOP control of the Senate agenda.
Anyone else remember Georgia? Not backing the Republicans in Georgia got us a ton of pinko judges and 87K new IRS stooges. Sitting out the run-off was a great plan.
Refusing to back Dr. Oz now in the general is not making any statement except that you are an emotion-driven BRAT mad because you didn’t get your way.

Jawohl, Herr Schlicter!
I’m glad I don’t have to vote in this one. But the Alabama GOP is also running a RINO...
Times are different. Once the primaries are over, the die has been cast. Sure, the "lesser" will often anger us, but it's a better proposition than having a Democrat in that seat.
The grass roots is becoming far more active IMO. For example, there's a statewide organization called the True Texas Project, that lets incumbents know when we think they're straying. Additionally, it's had influence on changing up school boards...and they're just getting started.
Godwin’s Law, you lose.
Oz did an interview on the Chris Stigall radio show this morning. I didn’t hear it but all the callers were impressed with Oz.
If it can be found (probably after today) it would be worth listening to.
🙄
It’s not hate so much as he’s just a poor candidate for a state like PA. The Alabama in the middle won’t be enough to overcome the commies on the ends.
The primary fight is over. Creepy carpetbagger Oz is obviously better than creepy communist Fetterman. So Oz is the way to go.
But I gotta say this. Fetterman’s campaign ads are really good, “A” level stuff. Oz’s ads are weak. He really has to step up his game there. Oz needs to show the rest of Pennsylvania what a complete mess Braddock is (Fetterman was mayor of Braddock).
Narrator: “Do you want all of Pennsylvania to go the way of Braddock?”
Like another poster said, given Pennsylvania’s track record, Oz is probably better than most from that State.
In a sane and just world, KY would be running Congress with Massie as Speaker and Rand as Majority Leader.
No doubt. But even though I’m not sure his opponent is healthy enough for the job he is just a terrible candidate.
Trump explicitly said not support it and the Repukes went full bore into it. All of these bills were tied together in the passage so if you actually wanted to stop the 87k IRS your path to doing so was to stop the infrastructure. They play these games thinking we are all dumb (obviously some still don’t see it). It’s not much different than their promise to get rid of Obamacare. It’s all rhetoric, they have no core values.
Funny how the Democrats known as the demonRATS have the worst candidates on the face of the planet yet they stand supporting them tooth and nail. Our team leaders have the nasty habit of always backstabbing our candidates that they don’t like. They would rather lose than to save America and its citizens to communism. That’s why McConnellI is the number one most hated representative at the hill! With leaders like that we will never win never. The sewer rats outsmarted him once again! I really believe in my heart McConnell and McCarthy hate their base! Here is another opportunity to put the nail in the rats coffin with this forgiveness loan crap people are pissed and what are they talking about Ukraine and more money. Sorry folks y’all are looking for a red wave it ain’t going to happen! Not with losers like these. Americans are screwed!
Especially so trying to apply that crap to Kurt, who is one of the best conservative columnists writing today.
Hannity’s personal attacks on Kathy was uncalled for.
I listen all day at work to a Philly classic rock station, WMGK. Have heard a ton of Oz ads in the last week or so but they don’t even mention Oz, just bashing Fetterman, mostly on crime. Have not heard any Fetterman ads recently. I think they really need to crank up the ads bashing Dems for the student loan forgiveness. Perfect wedge issue for blue collar Dems that might have had second thoughts on Fetterman.
Hold your schnozz an vote for OZ!”
Lmfaooo!! Good one!
We have a similar situation in Florida, we have Rubio who would never be accused of being a Trump loyalist versus Democrat Val Demmings.
I would much rather have another Conservative but I will vote for Rubio, it’s not great but it’s 100% better than the alternative.
As Crazy as it sounds, one of my favorite sayings comes from Donald Rumsfeld, who said, “You have to fight the war with the Army you have, not the Army you wished you had”...
We as Republicans have people like Rubio and Oz, everyone has to decide for themselves...
That's good news. If my understanding of campaign finance law is accurate, then these aren't "campaign ads" because they don't endorse a candidate. Instead, they are "issue/advocacy ads" and therefore aren't subject to any oversight under campaign finance laws.
Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
a) the Democrats never have to settle for "lesser"
b) other than Sinema and Manchin, the Democrats almost never have defections
Time to rock the Democrats on their heels so they are defending shrinking turf in a rigged system.
