AUSTIN, Texas - California Gov. Gavin Newsom is targeting Texas Gov. Greg Abbott by placing full-page advertisements in three Texas newspapers.
The ads, which ran Friday in the Austin-American Statesman, the Houston Chronicle and the El Paso Times, feature a modified quote from Abbott about Senate Bill 8, which bans abortion in Texas after six weeks.
The quote from Abbott reads "Our creator endowed us with the right to life. And yet…children lose their right to life every year because of abortion. In Texas, we work to save those lives." The ad then shows abortion crossed out with "gun violence" written above it, Texas crossed out with "California" written above it and Greg Abbott's name crossed out with Gavin Newsom's written below it.
Newsom has also previously criticized Abbott about his response to gun violence following the mass shooting in Uvalde that left 19 students and two teachers dead in May.

Who do you suppose is funding his campaign at this stage? Soros? IIRC, he has been putting out ads against (at least) Abbott and DeSantis, maybe others.
California is doubling down on its green agenda. The only way to deal with the unreliable solar and wind power is to develop more unreliable wind and solar power.

It’s pretty bizarre for the Gov. of one state to run ads in another state attacking that states Gov. It just does not computer. What is he trying to gain here? Does he think this helps Beta?
Newsom is running for president in 2024. This gets his name out there and tars his potential opponents.
The reason it took 78 minutes for the police to intervene in Uvalde was because that is how long it took Greg Abbot to sacrifice those children to his god Baal. Those rituals take time!
Why in the world is this chump going after governors of other states? What does he hope to gain?

Is he spending money in Texas, a state on California’s ‘Don’t do business with’ list?

No, they're still shutting down power plants. Pirkey Power Plant (near Hallsville) will be shut down next year.
