Probably not, but there are many comments on this thread directed at either all or the vast majority of Mormons.
You are right that not all, or even most, idiots are Mormons—Trudeau is a good example.
However, if you have studied logic, the above concession in no way contradicts the possibility that many or even most Mormons are idiots—it merely establishes that there are Mormon and non-Mormon idiots, as has been the case since about the time that Joseph Smith got people to follow the alleged revelation from Moroni (which is moron pluralized using the Latin form of pluralization).

I don’t doubt that possibility, just pointing out that his views then are like many people’s, probably much different, now. He isn’t that bright but also will admit mistakes. He probably said what he did initially because he fell hook, line and sinker for the hoax, not because he voted knowing it was a Hillary campaign funded hoax. Romney had to know since Romney knew what was going on in Ukraine, but average people were vulnerable. Trump at the time, and especially some of his supporters, were being quite obnoxious, acting just like the Democrats typically do in defense of their cult leaders. Their tempers were alienating people who put a high value on civility. Most wanted a Reaganesque candidate, but the Reaganesque candidates couldn’t get a word in edgewise due to Trump knowing exactly how to be the squirrel the press couldn’t resist chasing, and that was frustrating to people who wanted to win by persuasion rather than by raw emotion. A lot of people were not sure about a take-no-prisoners candidate that fights as dirty as a Clinton. It was a turn-off to me too, but eventually I realized that a calm and civil candidate who plays nice, like Carson, to win a Republican primary where such behavior is appealing, would never be able to use those virtues to defeat an ends-justify-the-means candidate like a Clinton in the general election.

Romney deserves criticism for being a perfidious Senate Republican, not for being a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints.

I dont understand how Senator Romney could say that a man who supports the premeditated murder of 900,000 innocent and defenseless unborn children every year is a “genuinely good man”. Maybe youre a genuinely good man if you dont like Trump.
Romney thinks if he sucks up a bit to the democrats, say nice things about Biden, they might accept him as a “unification candidate.” Simple f*er doesn’t realize that the democrats don’t want to unify,, they want to destroy.
